Image Transformation In Contemporary Chinese Watercolor Painting

We are in an era dominated by visual images,which have changed our way of life and production.People can understand the real world by reading images in different forms and all aspects.The growing mass image has subtly changed the artists’ thinking habits,visual feelings and creative methods,and image has become one of the most important ways of cultural transmission in this era.For contemporary artists,creation only relies on traditional basic training and realistic techniques,just like understanding the world by words alone in the image age can no longer meet the needs of painting creation.Facing such rich and complex images,they gradually explore a painting method suitable for the new era-image conversion painting.Image conversion brings a broader dimension to art creation,and the form and content are more diverse,The richer aesthetic experience and freer expression provide more possibilities for artistic creation.For contemporary artists,how to learn and make good use of such rich image resources to make them work in artistic creation is a topic that needs constant exploration and continuous innovation.In the context of the image era,I hope to sort out valuable specific methods of image conversion,which will supplement the image conversion theory in contemporary Chinese watercolor creation.This paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter combs the literature related to image transformation in this paper,explains the background of the times,clarifies the necessity of image transformation,clarifies the argumentation ideas of this paper,and lists the research methods used.The second chapter discusses three basic problems of image:the definition of image,the overview of the theoretical development of image science,and the type of image.Provide the theoretical support required for this argument.The third chapter discusses the relationship between image and painting to promote and balance each other.The fourth chapter lists different artists and genres of painting and summarizes six methods: misappropriation,collage,defocus,distortion,deconstruction and repetition.The fifth chapter is about the application of image transformation in the creation of contemporary Chinese watercolor paintings.It analyzes these artists’ works from the perspective of specific methods of image transformation.The sixth chapter summarizes the convenience and advantages of image transformation in contemporary painting creation,and at the same time ponders the reflection and warning brought by image transformation.
