Recently,with the rapid development of media technology,various interview programs are more and more favored by the public.However,the translation of interview program translation is lagging behind,and there are relatively few studies on interview program interpretation.This paper is a report on the simulation practice of English-Chinese interpretation and the interpreting material was selected from an interview with playwright Mark Scott Zicree on Film Courage.In the process of interpreting,the author applies the Schema Theory of cognitive psychology,adopts the case study method and analyzes the problems and difficulties in interpreting based on the three aspects of Schema Theory,namely language schema,content schema and formal schema.The author also discusses the corresponding translation strategies and solutions,and summarizes the commonly used translation methods of interpreting,like literal translation,free translation,additional translation,appropriate interpretation,subject conversion and structural adjustment,etc.According to the interpreting practice,the following conclusions are drawn:Firstly,Schema Theory can play a positive role in listening comprehension,memory and expression of interpretation;Secondly,preparation according to linguistic schema,content schema and formal schema plays an important role in the implementation of interpretation.Thirdly,the author realizes that interpreters should improve their own accumulation and enrich their language schema,content schema and formal schema.
