Gender role attitude refers to people’s attitude toward the social roles and responsibilities of both sexes in the public and private spheres. With the development of social economy,China is currently in a transition period. The attitude of gender roles of both sexes is in an early transition state from tradition to modernity, and the complexity of work and family life is also increasing.Due to the limited psychological resources of individuals, too much investment in a certain field will reduce the overall level of psychological resources, resulting in a higher level of work family conflict and parental burnout.Employees with higher levels of work family conflict and parental burnout are more difficult to obtain positive emotional experience from family life, and may be less satisfied with their marriage.Based on the constantly changing attitudes towards gender roles in China, this study mainly examines how differences in attitudes towards gender roles affect individual marital satisfaction, and explores the mediating role of work family conflict and parental burnout in gender role attitudes affecting marital satisfaction. In short,it explores the relationship between employee’s gender role attitude, work family conflict, parental burnout and marital satisfaction. In this study,492 workers were recruited, using the Concise Gender Role Attitudes Scale(SESRA-S),marital Satisfaction Scale,Work Family Conflicts Scale, and the simplified Parental Burnout Scale(S-PBA).(1)Demographic analysis using descriptive statistics;(2)Independent sample t test and one-way analysis of variance were used to test and analyze the difference of demographic variables;(3)Using correlation analysis to explore the relationship between gender role attitudes, work family conflict, parental burnout and marital satisfaction;(4)The Boothtrap mediation effect test was used to test the chain mediation effect.Based on the above analysis, the following results are obtained:(1)Gender role attitudes of Chinese workers and workers are generally equal, and individual gender role attitudes differ in gender, household place, age, education, marriage age, children’s age and number of children;(2)In work family conflict, the level of work family conflict is moderately low,and the level of female work family conflict is significantly higher than that of male;(3)In terms of parental burnout, the level of employee parental burnout is generally low,and there are differences in gender and age;(4)In terms of marital satisfaction, the level of marital satisfaction of employees is generally high, and there are differences in gender, education level and monthly income.(5)Gender role attitudes can directly predict marriage satisfaction. The more equal gender role attitudes are,the higher individual marriage satisfaction is.(6)Work family conflict and parental burnout play a chain mediating role in the influence of employee gender role attitude on marital satisfaction. From the theoretical point of view, this study can expand and expand the existing empirical research on marriage satisfaction, verify and supplement the theoretical achievements related to marriage and family. From the perspective of practice, this study has certain enlightening significance to improve the marital satisfaction of workers, and can provide inspiration, suggestions and practical basis for the intervention measures to improve marital satisfaction in the field of marriage and family counseling.Based on the constantly changing attitudes towards gender roles in China, this study mainly examines how gender role attitudes affect individual marriage satisfaction, work family conflict and parental burnout, and explores the mediating role of work-family conflict and parental burnout in gender role attitudes affecting marriage satisfaction. In short,it explores the relationship between gender role attitudes, work family conflict, parental burnout, and marital satisfaction.
