This translation practice report takes chapters 1 and 3 of The Money Minders:The Parables,Trade-Offs and Lags of Central Banking as its corpus,and presents a summary of the relevant translation problems encountered in the translation practice process and the corresponding solutions.This text,as a financial text,has the characteristics of an informative text in that it introduces financial knowledge objectively while adding some literary and popular expressions to enable the general public to understand how the central bank facilitates the implementation of monetary policy by formulating monetary policy and achieving financial stability.Based on this,the author will analyse the two aspects of constant fuzzy rhetoric and variant fuzzy rhetoric.The author analyses three aspects: fuzzy nouns,fuzzy verbs and fuzzy adjectives;variable fuzzy rhetoric refers to the fuzziness of words in the process of combination,which the author describes in terms of metaphorical rhetoric and euphemistic rhetoric.In the process of forming the translation,the author adopts methods and techniques such as paraphrasing,word extension and conversion,which ultimately make the translation achieve the same expression effect as the original.Through writing this translation practice report,the author has gained a deeper understanding of the translation of vague rhetoric,which the author hopes to provide some reference and reference for later translators.
