Ludmila Stepanovna Petroshevskaya(Людмила СтефановнаПетрушевская)She is a highly renowned contemporary Russian writer, known alongside Ulitskaya and Tolstoya as the "three carriages of Russian female literature".The author adheres to the principle of being loyal to life and advocates the restoration of the original appearance of life without any modification, subverting the creative ideas of the mainstream literary world in the Soviet Union with bold and spicy brushstrokes. As a female writer, she actively pays attention to the fate of women in the family and society, and speaks for women on the margins of society. This article takes Petrushevskaya’s novel "The time:Night" as the research object,as its representative work, tells the story of Anna’s family living in Moscow in the 1990s from the perspective of the protagonist,Gongnana, who eventually disintegrated due to the lack of understanding and intensified conflicts among family members.and from the perspective of literary ethical criticism theory, reveals the family ethical ecological environment composed of material, spiritual, and interpersonal relationships through the description of ethical relationships between the characters in the novel.Furthermore,it explores the family ethical factors that affect the fate of the characters, and finally summarizes Petrushevskaya’s family ethical values reflected in the novel. This paper consists of five parts:abstract, introduction, main body, conclusion, and references. The introduction section introduces the significance of the topic selection, provides a review of the research on the novel "The time:Night"by the Russian literary and Chinese academic circles, and elaborates on the research significance and innovative points of this paper. The main body consists of four chapters. The first chapter outlines the emergence and development of literary ethics,as well as the specific concepts related to the paper. The second chapter starts from the perspective of literary ethics and analyzes the ethical relationships between family members from the perspectives of intergenerational relationships, marital relationships, sibling relationships, etc,in order to summarize the alienated state of the family ethical ecological environment in which the protagonist resides. The third chapter analyzes the ethical factors that affect the fate of family characters, including the marginalization of male roles, failed family education, and the impact of sphinx factors. The fourth chapter summarizes the ethical values of the family reflected in the novel and the key points that Petrushevskaya pays attention to in his writing philosophy of family ethics. In a progressive manner,it lists anti utopian interpretations of family life, attention to the current situation of women’s survival, and humanistic care for the lower class. The conclusion summarizes the author’s concern and sympathy for the fate of women in the writing of family ethics. The author injects a new vitality into the mainstream Russian literary world through her portrayal of anti traditional female images, and inspires contemporary women not to indulge in false love,to face life’s setbacks and difficulties, and to repeatedly save themselves from fire and water.Through the study of Petrushevskaya’s "The time:Night",it can be seen that the author is not only good at revealing the dark side of Russian society, but also has deep sympathy and concern for the plight of the bottom people, which reflects the author’s deep insight and empathy, and also reflects the author’s creative purpose of appealing to the society to pay attention to the spiritual outlook of contemporary Russians and the survival status of the bottom people.
