The Practice Of Creating Landscape Paintings With Changchun City Landmarks As The Subject Matter

Changchun was once under the rule of Tsarist Russia,was the seat of the pseudo-Manchu regime,and was an important industrial base after the founding of New China.Its special experience has made it a famous historical and cultural city at home and abroad,with a rich variety of landmarks,architectural forms and styles,and rich connotations.The author’s graduation project is to take the landmarks of Changchun city as the object of expression,with the intention of reflecting the change of Changchun from the old to the new through a series of "city card" style images,exploring the city’s profound history and cultural connotation,and expressing and conveying the vigorous atmosphere of the times,thereby awakening historical memories and freezing the present moment.The paper is divided into three parts.This paper is divided into three parts.Firstly,we explain the reasons for choosing Changchun’s landmark architecture as the subject matter by elaborating on the architectural styles and the historical and cultural connotations behind the landmark architecture.The second part summarizes the characteristics of architectural expressions in the architectural theme and clarifies the direction of creation,so as to start the creation practice of landscape painting on the theme of Changchun city architecture.The last part of this paper details the whole process of the author’s graduation series,including the origin of creation,composition,interpretation of the theme,interpretation of the image of the selected architecture,and the modeling language used in the series,in order to clarify the intention and characteristics of the whole series.
