The Research Of Thai "Abnormal Birth" Story

The abnormal birth of Thailand belongs to the Thai "Gaga Ongong" story,which is based on the early Thai society of animism as the background,with everything in nature as the protagonist,and the birth as the keynote to shape the abnormal birth of the protagonists as the main plot.The shaping of these stories and characters reflects the dependence of early societies on nature to satisfy material life and enrich spiritual life through rich life experience.From the image shaping of the story characters,we can see the imagination of the Thai people in creation,implying the Thai people’s religious beliefs,ethics and the exploration of life consciousness,accumulating the rich feelings of the Thai nation.This paper uses the motif analysis method as the starting point,and selects 29 texts about the birth story of the abnormal birth of Thailand distributed in Thailand as the research object.In the first chapter,the abnormal birth story is defined,the source of the text is summarized,and the text is divided into five categories: plant birth,animal birth,egg birth,"eating" birth,and strange child birth.The second chapter summarizes the main motifs of the story,and draws ten common story motifs,which are begging for a child,heteromarriage,treasure and transformation,resurrection,test,future and destiny,reward and punishment,loss and Harm,courtship-destined marriage,family search-acceptance,and then interpret the connotation of the story motif,and found that the motif is flexible in different types of stories,and can be assembled into a completely different story with different motifs,has a certain generality.The third chapter uses Propp’s story morphology to analyze the image characteristics and image functions of the protagonist and other characters in the story.Three action circles are summed up from it,helpers,perpetrators and givers.Through the image analysis of the protagonists and the interpretation of the action circle,it can be concluded that the background of the protagonists guides the direction and development of the story,and it is also analyzed that the roles of the characters in different action circles are different.The root of its formation is related to the Buddhist belief of the Thai people close relationship.Chapter 4 analyzes the story connotation of Thailand’s abnormal birth story,which reveals that the Thai people explore life consciousness through abnormal birth,and highlight the Tai people’s outlook on life in harmony with nature and coexistence and co-prosperity with nature.The purpose of this study is to explore the significance of the Thai people’s creation of abnormal birth stories,explore the "strange" and "unusual" in them,and analyze the lifestyles,folk beliefs and deep cultural meanings of the ancestors.Therefore,starting from the meaning of reality,we will explore the reasons for this phenomenon,as well as the meaning and value of their existence in the real society.
