A Study On The Music Characteristics And Singing Of "Shanghai Sketch" And "Water Girl"

"Cottage Sketch" and "Water Girl" are two creative songs composed by composer Meng Yong with strong Huxiang characteristics.This paper discusses the musical style,musical characteristics and singing analysis of composer Meng Yong and his works "Cottage Sketch" and "Water Maiden",and takes the two musical works as the carrier to deeply think about the singing technology,singing method and emotional expression of the works,so as to better interpret the works.This paper is divided into three chapters,the introduction mainly includes the purpose and significance of the topic selection,the research status of the work,and the innovation of the topic selection.The first chapter mainly summarizes the composer and the two works of "Cottage Sketch" and "Water Maiden",and discusses the composer’s life and the stylistic characteristics of the song.The second chapter is an analysis of the musical characteristics of "Cottage Sketch" and "Water Maiden",this paper analyzes the musical characteristics of these two works through four aspects: rhyme,musical structure,melody and beat rhythm,explores the characteristics of Miao folk songs and Dongting fishing songs used in the music creation of "Cottage Sketch" and "Water Maiden",and peeks into the integration of national vocal music and local folk songs in Hunan Province.The third chapter is to analyze the singing of "Cottage Sketch" and "Water Maiden",further explore the national style of the songs from the singing,and summarize the Miao folk songs and Hunan flower drum opera techniques used in the singing of "Cottage Sketch" and "Water Maiden" to present the national charm of the two works to the readers.The author also analyzes the works in terms of emotional expression,explores the emotional changes and expressions of the songs,and summarizes the similarities and differences in the singing styles of the two works.The conclusion part sorts out and summarizes the paper,deepens the content of the paper,and puts forward their own views and insights.
