Compositional And Performing Techniques Used In Violin Variations During The Baroque Period

This thesis analyses each variation of Vitali’s Chaconne in g minor and explores the connections between each variation,which is of great relevance to "understanding the history of its composition and how to play and master the style of the work".I have chosen this piece as one of the repertoire performed to be played in my graduation concert.It is hoped that through the study,performance and research of this work,I will be able to improve my own performance.And I hope that the study of this piece will lead to a greater interest in the field of violin variation playing.
