A Study On The Design Of Children’s Picture Books With Portraits Of Tang Dynasty Ladies

The 24 solar terms are an important manifestation of the culture of traditional Chinese farming society for 5,000 years,and the connotation and aesthetic meaning of Tang Dynasty ladies’ culture transcends the limitations of the times,precipitating the traditional aesthetic spirit and philosophical thoughts of the Chinese nation.Based on this,this thesis integrates the two types of culture into modern children’s education,and explores the creative transformation and innovative development of traditional culture in the form of derivative design of cultural and creative products to inherit the excellent Chinese traditional culture and explore the path of children’s painting design.This thesis chooses to combine the image of Tang Dynasty ladies with the twenty-four Chinese solar terms to create a children’s popular science picture book as the research object.Through the means of picture book illustration,we intervene in the communication and redesign of the female figures,taking the two works of "Hairpin and Flower Girl" and "Pounding Practice" as examples,we redesign the Q version of the figures in the paintings according to modern aesthetic awareness,retaining the basic features of the figures,creating further derivatives of makeup and clothing,clothing patterns,etc.,sorting out the background knowledge points to build an information framework,establishing a new visual narrative logic,and determining the final image of the figures.On the basis of in-depth theoretical and practical research,we summarize the history and culture of each time point of the 24 solar terms,and use graphics,colors,and aesthetic awareness in line with modern picture book design to refine and transform them into creative elements of the picture book.The image of Tang Dynasty ladies is used as an element for image redesign,and the elements of the twenty-four solar terms are incorporated to make a new fusion of traditional Chinese culture and modern illustration,thus creating a re-creation that not only allows consumers to feel the artistic inculcation of traditional Chinese culture,but also has far-reaching significance for the inheritance of traditional culture,making a series of cultural and creative products more contemporary spirit and national characteristics,and providing a methodological reference for speaking Chinese stories and spreading excellent Chinese traditional culture.It provides methodological reference.
