| The Wu culture of the Bronze Age is an important part of the cultural history of the Chinese nation.Zhenjiang is one of the birthplaces of Wu culture, and in 1954,Yihou Jiaoguan, unearthed from the mound tomb of Yandunshan in Zhenjiang, changed Taibo Ben Wu from a legend to a history of faith.More than 80% of the Wu cultural bronzes that can be seen so far have been unearthed in the Zhenjiang area, and most of them are in the Zhenjiang Museum.Among them, the Wu culture bird-patterned bronze heavy artifacts in the Zhenjiang Museum are rarely found in museums in other regions. The bird pattern is one of the most representative ornaments of Wu cultural bronzes.Numerous documents show that the Chongniao culture was widespread in Shang Zhou.Taibo Ben Wu brought the bronze culture of the Central Plains of the late Shang and early Zhou Dynasties into Wudi, and integrated it with the original Chongniao culture of Wudi, forming the unique bird pattern characteristics of Wudi.In this paper, the bird pattern images of related bronzes are systematically sorted out,and the bird pattern characteristics and image connotations of Wu culture bronzes are expounded on the basis of the dual demonstration of images and documents,in order to promote the research on the ornamentation of Wu culture bronzes. |
