Control is an integral part of the character’s action,and it is not contradictory to "devotion" or "emotion".As an effective means of shaping roles,control means that actors can effectively help complete the internal transformation of role shaping through controlling the performance after receiving all information about the role,which can not only make the role more personalized and three-dimensional,but also help actors to present a more vivid artistic image and create a more wonderful artistic stage effect.This paper will take the artistic image of "Xia Man Tian" in the author’s graduation play report "Family Guests" as an example to study the application of control in drama performance,so that actors can better understand what is the control of actors in role shaping,the different aspects of performance control,and the application of performance control in shaping the artistic image of "Xia Man Tian" in "Family Guests",Effectively help actors to create a vivid and coherent role,and explore and speculate from the drama practice.
