Xuancheng County occupies a place in Jiankang’s "capital circle society" because of its unique geographical location close to Jiankang, upstream of Fanping, and limited to Jiangbei.Whether in the establishment of the Eastern Jin regime, the political struggle of the Eastern Jin clan,or the historical process of the fall of the Jin Dynasty and the prosperity of the Song Dynasty,Xuancheng County played a pivotal role. Therefore, starting from the research perspective of political history and regional history,an in-depth discussion and analysis of Xuancheng County in the Eastern Jin Dynasty will help to promote the study of the history of the Six Dynasties to a certain extent. The first chapter of the article first conducts a political investigation of the Xuancheng area, which had not yet become a separate county before the Jin Dynasty.During the Qin and Han Dynasties, the Xuancheng area was in the "inner border" state within a country. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, after crossing the river,Sun Ce began to conquer the Shanyue forces in the Xuancheng area in order to obtain enough resources to establish a political power.Sun Quan’s succession to the throne, along with the changes in the political situation and the political center, the position of the Xuancheng area in Sun Wu’s Shanyue policy also changed accordingly. After Sun Quan proclaimed himself emperor and the Sun Group formally established the capital of Jianye,Sun Wu’s military and political pressure returned to the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, and Xuancheng,Jianye, and Hefei formed a contradictory relationship related to the current political situation. The relationship temporarily withdrew from the stage of history after Zhuge Ke pacified the Shanyue forces in the Xuancheng area. From the second chapter, the research perspective formally converges on Xuancheng County in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. After Sima Rui was founded in Jianye,he tried to get rid of the political influence of the Western Jin Dynasty and manage his own sphere of influence,so he followed the example of Sun Wu and restored the old Jianye King Ji by making Xuancheng County the land of Langya King, and gradually eliminated Jiangdong’s opposition.forces, and cooperated with Wang Dun to plot Jingzhou. However, the relationship between Wang and Ma gradually broke down after Sima Rui intended to become emperor.Wang Dun intervened in the employment of Xuancheng County in order to take the lead in the intervention of Jiankang by force. After entering Jiankang for the first time,Wang Dun lost the hope of the Jiankang gentry. In order to balance the political interests of both parties,Zhong Ya,who was neutral between the two,was published as the internal history of Xuancheng.Soon after Wang Dun’s rebellion was put down,Emperor Jin and Ming became very ill.In order to take the lead in the political struggle,Yu Liang went out of Huanyi to serve as foreign aid for the internal history of Xuancheng. After Yu Liang assisted the government, under the influence of Emperor Jinming’s edict,he was eager to expand his power and wiped out the opposition, which led to Su Jun’s rebellion.Shi Huanyi in Xuancheng fully supported Yu Liang for the development of the Huan family’s political future, and finally died in Xuancheng. After Su Jun’s rebellion,Xuancheng County became the arena of political struggle among the gentry, and Yu,Wang,Xie,and Huan successively appeared on the stage. Finally,in the confrontation between Yin and Huan during the Yonghe period,Huan Wen won the final victory and realized his absolute advantage in the political arena of the Eastern Jin Dynasty.Under the premise that political contradictions were limited to the Jiankang Central Committee and the status of Yuzhou was rising,Xuancheng County fell into political silence. This silence was briefly broken by external threats before and after the Battle of Feishui, but with the disintegration of the former Qin Dynasty, the alarm was lifted, and Xuancheng County returned to political silence. In the early years of Emperor Jin’an,because of the importance of Yuzhou in the struggle between Wang Gong,Huanxuan,Yin Zhongkan and Sima Daozi,Xuancheng County was driven to gradually restore its political status, and in the Yixi period Liu Yu and Liu Yi became active again.Liu Yu and Liu Yi had a long-term tug-of-war over the ownership of Xuancheng County. In the end, with Liu Yi’s defeat in the eighth year of Yixi,Liu Yu achieved complete control over Xuancheng County, and Xuancheng County’s political mission in the Eastern Jin Dynasty ended.
