Research On Female Images Of Domestic Urban Emotional Dramas

Domestic urban emotional dramas are the most popular type of TV series for audiences.They have always been the reflection of urban life,and the characters in them are sought after and welcomed by people.Especially in recent years,the female images in urban love dramas have aroused a series of hot discussions because they reflect the rising trend of women in reality.This paper takes award-winning urban emotional dramas aired in recent years as the main samples,uses Laura Mulvey’s feminist film theory,neoliberal female film theory,consumerism,semiotics and other theories as the basic analysis methods,and takes traditional Chinese family ethics as the breakthrough point.The female images of urban emotional dramas are divided into three categories: new female images fettered by traditional ethics,new female images conflicted by old and new ethics,and traditional female images keeping up with the changes of The Times.They represent different characters and different life experiences of women in life respectively.In addition,the paper expounds the ways of shaping female images in urban emotional dramas from three aspects: the gender narrative strategy highlights the variability of female images,the symbol expression strategy shows the female consumption view,and the multi-line relationship strategy shows the female flexibility,so as to dig deeply into the female consciousness contained in the female images in domestic urban emotional dramas.Although domestic urban emotional dramas construct many classic female images,there are still many problems.This paper analyzes the reasons for the creation of female images in domestic urban emotional dramas from both the creator and the audience.Through the systematic analysis of the female images in domestic urban emotional dramas,it is found that the female images in domestic urban emotional dramas in recent years generally have the tendency of alienation,narrowing and hanging.Because TV dramas should not only reflect real life,but also promote social progress through correct value orientation.Based on these tendencies,in order to create better female images of urban emotional dramas and give full play to the positive effects of female images,this paper expects the creators to base on reality,break the secular stereotype,break through the inherent narrative mode,and create more real,more dynamic and positive female images of urban emotional dramas.
