Wei Shou, styled Bo Qi,was a famous writer and historian in the Northern Dynasty. In the three dynasties of Northern Wei,Eastern Wei and Northern Qi,he went to the Southern Liang as an envoy and communicated with the scribes of the North and the South, which not only influenced his own literary creation, but also promoted the integration of the literary styles of the North and the south. However,at present, the academic research on Wei Shou is scattered and has not formed a systematic study. Therefore, this paper takes Wei Shou as the research center, from his family life, ideological tendency, poetry creation, the study of the Book of Wei,literary achievements and influence five aspects,in order to have a comprehensive and objective understanding of Wei Shou and his works.Wei Shou comes from the Juru Wei family.Starting from Wei Xin,who was the grand governor of Juru at the time of Emperor Cheng of Han Dynasty, the Juru Wei family gradually developed into the high men of the Northern Dynasty. The Wei family produced a large number of talents,Wei Yue,Wei Zijian,Wei Jijing,Wei Langen,Wei Changxian and other people played an important role in the formation of Wei Shou’s family education and ideology. As for the death year of Wei Shou,it is clearly recorded in the Book of the Northern Qi Dynasty and the History of the Northern Qi Dynasty, which is the third year of Wuping(572).According to the birth year of Wei Shou, combined with the creation time of Nan Kao Fu,Wei Shu · Di Ji and Wei Shu · Zi Preface,it is most likely that Wei Shou was born in 507 AD.His official career can be roughly divided into three stages: in the later period of the Northern Wei Dynasty,he went from Doctor of Imperial Learning to scholar of Middle school;in the Eastern Wei Dynasty,he went from Zhengtong to Zhongzheng of Dingzhou;and in the Northern Qi Dynasty,he went from scholar of Middle School to left scholar of Middle School.Wei Shou had a wide range of contacts, including Wen Zisheng,Xing Shao,Li Delin,Lu Sidao,Xue Daoheng,Pei Bomao and other local writers in the Northern Dynasty,as well as Xu Ling,Xu Zhicai,Yu Xin and other scholars in the Southern Dynasty. These contacts objectively promoted the integration of literary styles between the North and the South.Wei Shou’s contribution to the literature of the North Dynasty is not only in literary creation, but also in literary thoughts, which are mainly reflected in two aspects.First,in terms of style,it is considered that Ci Fu can best reflect the author’s talent, and attaches great importance to the gorgeousness of language in the creation of Ci Fu.Second,in terms of content,Wei Shou noticed the development and changes of literature and believed that literary creation should seek new changes and adapt to The Times. In addition,Wei Shou was influenced by the family style of the Wei family, the formation of political thought is naturally based on Confucianism. However,Wei Shou was a scholar and official of the Han ethnic group, and had his own thoughts about how to govern the country well. Therefore, the legalist thought of the way of governing the world also played an indelible role in Wei Shou’s heart. In addition,Wei Shou’s thought also has religious color, reflected in Wei Shou’s interpretation of Buddhist teachings and understanding of the north and south Taoism.Wei Shou wrote a lot of works, many of which have been lost, especially Ci Fu.There are only four Fu titles and the sentence "Zhen is an instrument of prostitution and does not shoot at Gao County" in "Peng You Fu".There are 16 existing poems of Wei Shou, which can be roughly divided into four categories according to the subject matter: praising things and expressing ambitions, thinking of relatives and friends, boudoire complaining of fragrance and beauty, landscape and feast and tour, showing the poetic style of being strong and strong. In addition, there are a total of 25 extant essays of Wei Collection, which can be classified into three categories, namely, one has moved into edge-album,one has inscriptions and one has Qiyi letters. On the whole, its prose presents a parallel, majestic,Pian SAN combination, sincere emotion, citing history as evidence, the structure of the characteristics of careful.By comparing the prose creations of Wei Shou,Wen Zisheng and Xing Shao,we can find that although the three are good at the creation of different styles and have distinct artistic characteristics, they all have a strong and simple style of writing. In the second year of Tianbao(551),the state of Wei removed Yin and was ordered to write the Book of Wei,which lasted three years to complete. The book has a total of 124 volumes, including 12 volumes of Emperor Ji,92 volumes of biographies and 20 volumes of annals. From the literary point of view, the biography of Wei Shu has its unique literary value, tending to the parallel beautiful historical language.Multiple lines coexist and focus on scene narration;Make good use of simple phrases, rules and edicts to show the image of the character. In terms of the compilation style, the ten records of Wei Shu are original, and the two records of Guan Shi and Elder Interpretation are newly created. The records are mainly described in chronological order, with prominent emphasis; Each of the records is not only separate but also interrelated, which has a high value of compilation.Wei Shou, one of the "three talents in Northern China",was an important writer in the history of Chinese literature.Although the number of his works is limited, the overall quality is relatively high, especially in the creation of prose, which represents the highest level of Wei Shou’s literary achievements. As a matter of fact,Wei Shou,as a famous literary master of the Northern Dynasty, not only influenced the literary style of the Northern Dynasty, but also promoted the integration of the northern and southern literary styles.
