Study On The Change Of The Mulam Ethnic Group Funeral Culture

Funeral culture is a complex of multiple cultures related to death.As an important part of the culture of the Mulam minority,the funeral culture of the Mulam minority has a set of ways to deal with death and the behavior logic of dealing with death.Times change,the Mulam minority funeral culture is changing.Guyao Village in Luocheng Mulam autonomous county,Guang Xi Zhuang autonomous Region,is a traditional village with hundreds of years of history.The Mulam and other ethnic groups have long been communicating,communicating and symbiotic.Through the analysis of local historical data,field investigation,history and synchronic,it is found that the change of the Mulam funeral culture in Guyao village is the result of many factors.Its funeral culture has not only the explicit ritual and behavior change,but also the conceptual value and cognition change.From the Ming and Qing dynasties to the present,the concepts,behaviors and ritual procedures of the funeral process in each historical stage show different records.Due to geographical separation and cultural integration with different ethnic groups,their funeral ceremonies are different.The reasons for the change of funeral culture of the Mulam minority can be analyzed from the outside and inside.The evolution of funeral culture of the Mulam minority is caused by the change of natural environment and social culture.At the same time,the Mulam minority funeral culture is influenced by the changes of clan’s control over families,the changes of ideas,social division of labor and economic development.The funeral culture of the Mulam minority has continuity.Because of its great historical inertia of the Mulam minority,which takes ancestor worship and filial piety as the core,material carrier as the means of inheritance,and the inheritance of family and rural structure,traditional values and moral concepts,the Mulam minority funeral culture has been maintained.Local governments in minority areas should pay attention to this feature in the process of carrying out funeral reform.
