Game teaching is a teaching method that can stimulate learners’ interest in learning and improve learners’ learning enthusiasm.When facing young learners and primary language learners,game teaching can use its interesting,competitive and cooperative game activities to achieve the learning goals of practicing language elements and exercising language skills.Therefore,it is favored by more and more international Chinese teachers.At present,domestic academic circles have done some research on the application of game teaching in international Chinese teaching.However,it is mostly reflected in the Chinese foreign language classes in Asia such as Thailand and Indonesia,or Africa such as Kenya and Madagascar.There are not many studies on Chinese classes in British middle schools.See.This paper intends to conduct research on the application of game teaching in Chinese classrooms in British middle schools.Based on the theory and application research of game teaching,this paper conducts research on the application of game teaching in British Chinese classroom from the perspectives of learners and teachers.After one and a half years of practical teaching,an attempt was made to implement game teaching in the Chinese classroom of British middle schools.Through the comparative experiment of using game teaching and not using game teaching in Chinese classroom,record and analyze the classroom observation scale.At the same time,combined with the comparative experiments between high-grade learners and low-grade learners,the teaching games suitable for learners of different ages are obtained through analysis.It explores the "localization" of Chinese teaching games in the UK,analyzes and summarizes the problems in the application,and gives practical application strategies.The application of game teaching in the Chinese classroom of British middle schools has played a certain positive role: it has enlivened the classroom atmosphere and enabled more students to participate in the teaching;it has improved students’ enthusiasm and initiative in learning Chinese;and it has promoted the interaction between teachers and students,teachers and students have received more feedback during the teaching process;after long-term implementation of game teaching,students have gradually become more interested in learning Chinese,and at the same time,their learning habits have been improved,their learning ability has been significantly improved,and finally achieved in their grades reflect.But in the implementation of the teaching game,some problems were also found.For example,if the teaching game is single,students lose interest;it has a negative impact on classroom management,and students cannot return to the classroom content for a long time;the time of teaching games is not easy to control,and sometimes the normal teaching time will be squeezed.
