Human civilization is a spontaneous creation in the process of survival and development, which embodies the survival desire of human beings in the process of long-term living activities, and thus produces a series of ritual activities,as well as the funeral culture of how to face death. It is the embodiment of the concept of interdependence between man and nature. However, with the development and progress of technology and the reform of the funeral system,a series of ritual activities have gradually shown a tendency to de-subjectify,and human subjectivity has also been gradually reduced.Focusing on the process of ritual activities can more clearly examine the subjectivity of people in ritual activities. This article combines video creation skills with rural funeral ceremonies, taking the funeral ceremonies of Gaofeng Village,Jingchuan County,Pingliang City,Gansu Province as the research object, combined with the work "General Manager Liang Xiping",to record the ritual scenes in the rural funeral process through video, and explore How to shape the expression of individual characters and group images in the process of ritual visualization. This article uses text analysis and fieldwork to collect image data, and uses on-site observation and in-depth interviews to explore the details of the ceremony and the cultural connotation of the ceremony.Deconstruct the various elements in the funeral process, such as "please offer fruit","welcome guests","build a bridge","go out of the funeral" and "burial",and find that each element contains the local social structure, geographical relationship, and customs. The important significance of shaping individual characters and expressing group portraits in the process of ritual visualization. The study believes that the shaping of individual characters can reflect the positive role of individual characters in funeral ceremonies, including maintaining the order of the ceremony and promoting the progress of the ceremony, while the expression of group portraits reflects the scale of the ceremony and regional relations.Although the funeral ceremony appears to be a fragmented structure,it actually takes filial piety as the core framework, and each ritual link is an important embodiment of the filial piety culture. Finally, the reflection on the inheritance of ritual culture is put forward, that is,the inheritance of ritual culture is not only the inheritance of the ritual process, but also a process of updating and recreating the ritual process.Funeral ceremonies as a case study are only one of cultural inheritance,in addition to rural temple fairs, wedding ceremonies, full moon ceremonies, etc. For this reason, the use of images to record funeral ceremonies is an affirmation of death civilization. At the same time,we should also reflect on how to maximize the images of these ritual cultures that are closely related to our lives,so as to realize the integration and intercommunication of ritual cultures through image communication. This paper is mainly divided into three parts. The first part is the introduction, which mainly explains the background and significance of the selected topic, the literature review of the selected topic, the definition of concepts and the expression of research methods. The second part is theoretical elaboration, including the first chapter, the second chapter and the third chapter. The first chapter is the construction of ethnographic images of rituals, including ritual expressions in ethnographic images, image narratives and textual expressions of rituals, and finally symbolic expressions of rituals. The second chapter is the shaping of individual characters in the image of ritual, including the shaping of the role of personal image, the shaping of environment and lens language. The third chapter is divided into group image expression of ritual: including non-conflicting group image narration, group image expression space form, group image expression audio-visual rhetoric. The third part is personal creation and explanation, including the video expression of the funeral ceremony, the individual character creation in "General Manager Liang Xiping",the expression of group portraits in "General Manager Liang Xiping",and finally analyzes the reflection on the inheritance of ritual culture to attract more audiences The attention to traditional ritual culture awakens their awareness of the inheritance of ritual culture.
