| The English Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)emphasizes that students are required to be able to use language knowledge to express their feelings,attitudes,and opinions around the theme.But there are still problems in English writing teaching and learning.Therefore,based on the current English writing teaching situation and the English Curriculum Standards requirements,this study aims to explore the effectiveness and influence of thematic context on English writing.The research questions are as follows:(1)What are the impacts of English writing teaching based on the thematic context on junior high school students’ interest in English writing?(2)What are the impacts of English writing teaching based on the thematic context on junior high school students’ attitude towards English writing?(3)Can the English writing teaching based on the thematic context improve the writing abilities of junior high school students?This study takes two parallel classes of seventh-grade students in Quan Lin Junior High School as the research objects,and the two classes are set as the experimental class and control class.Through studying relevant literature on the thematic context and its teaching practice,this study constructs an English writing teaching mode of “create-explore-construct-output-evaluate”in junior high school.To ensure the objectivity and accuracy of the research results,this study adopts the experimental method,questionnaires,and an interview.The data analysis software SPSS26.0 is used to analyze the collected data.The conclusions are summarized as follows.Firstly,the writing teaching method based on the thematic context can stimulate students’ interest in English writing.Secondly,this writing teaching mode can guide students to treat English writing more positively.Finally,the teaching of English writing in junior high schools based on the thematic context can improve students’ writing ability,and among the three aspects of writing content,language knowledge,and text structure,the improvement in text structure is the most obvious. |
