| In the history of the development of Chinese philosophy, the theory of mind and nature has always played an important role. The Confucian theory of mind and nature originated from Confucius and Mencius,Han Yu and Li Ao in the Tang Dynasty, and Neo Confucianism in the Song and Ming Dynasties.Whether Cheng Zhu’s "nature is reason" or Lu Wang’s "heart is reason",the issues discussed are centered around the issue of mind and nature.Buddhism was introduced into China, and during the Northern and Southern Dynasties, there were discussions about the issue of Buddha nature, which cannot be said to have nothing to do with the issue of mind nature. In the Sui and Tang dynasties, both Tiantai Sect,Huayan Sect, and Zen Sect discussed the issue of mind and nature, especially the development of Chinese mind and nature theory by Zen Sect. There have been many research achievements on the Confucian theory of mind and nature and the Buddhist theory of mind and nature, but there is still relatively little research on the Taoist theory of mind and nature. As a Taoist classic related to the cultivation of the mind and nature, the Qingjing Jing incorporates Buddhist language in its writing. In addition, most of the annotations in the seven versions are leading figures in the history of Taoism, spanning from the late Tang Dynasty to the Yuan Dynasty. They can grasp a corner of the development of Taoism’s theory of mind and nature from the perspective of the integration of the three religions. However,it cannot be ignored that the theory of mind and nature plays a crucial role in the development of religious theory, that is,in terms of the metaphysical framework,it connects natural cosmology and humanistic Dao and nature theory;Under the theoretical impact of Zen and Neo Confucianism in the Song and Ming dynasties,Taoism had to adapt to the development of the times and enrich its theoretical foundation. Therefore,it evolved from a Taoist theory of nature to a more mature system with a Taoist theory of mind and nature. In terms of the role of metaphysics, the theory of mind and nature is the theoretical cornerstone of various religious cultivation methods. Therefore, the theory of mind and nature also plays a crucial role in the cultivation methods of Taoism. This part of the content will be discussed in detail in Chapter 5.Therefore,this article mainly focuses on the textual research of the "Qingjing Jing",the Taoist theory of mind and nature reflected in the seven annotated texts, the development of mind and nature from the perspective of Buddhism and Taoism, the fusion of mind and nature from the perspective of Confucianism and Taoism, and the significance of mind and nature theory in the cultivation of internal alchemy. It focuses on the text of the "Qingjing Jing" and studies the theory of mind and nature in Taoism.Through the study of the above content,it is possible to better understand the connotation of Taoist mind nature theory, grasp the theoretical role of mind nature theory in Taoism, and have a more objective understanding of Taoist cultivation methods as a whole. |
