Research On The Sketch Concept Of Chinese Painting And Its Practice In Early 20th Century

There are many expressions of sketching in traditional Chinese painting.With the development of Chinese painting,its meaning is constantly interpreted and endowed with new connotation.In the early 20 th century(about 1900-1933),with the opening of the country’s gates and the eastward spread of the west,the concept of Western art painting was further introduced into China.China ’s advanced intellectuals attempt to use Western realism and sketching methods to transform China ’s literati paintings that fall into the mode of imitation.The sketching concept of Chinese and Western art has undergone a fierce collision,and the traditional Chinese sketching concept has undergone tremendous changes.The evolution process reflects the development of Chinese painting from the side and the modern transformation of the course and context.As the meaning of Chinese painting,sketching still plays an important role in the development and creation of Chinese painting.Taking the early 20 th century Chinese painting sketch as the starting point,starting from the development and change of the traditional Chinese painting sketch concept,combined with the early 20 th century art at home and abroad to see the connotation and significance of the Chinese painting sketch concept at that time.At the same time,supplemented by art discussions,artists’ sketching views and sketching practices to see the specific performance and practice of sketching views.To a certain extent,in early 20 th century sketching concept of Chinese painting changed the way of Chinese painting since the Ming and Qing dynasties,which emphasized imitating and neglected life drawing,and promoted the development of Chinese painting and conformed to the spirit of the times,as well as enriched the technical language and the range of subject matter of Chinese painting and changed the cultural concept of traditional Chinese painting.However,it is undeniable that the concept of Chinese painting in this context also makes the development of Chinese painting have more social attributes,to a certain extent,ignoring the role of copying and the technical language of Chinese painting.Therefore,understanding and reflecting on the evolution process and practice of the sketch concept of Chinese painting in the early 20 th century is conducive to a better understanding of the history of Chinese painting and the creation of Chinese painting.
