In the context of media convergence and the Internet,cross media convergence has become the most suitable form of creation for this era.Cross-media integrated creation breaks the traditional pattern by integrating artistic works from different media platforms and collaborating with artists from different media platforms to write stories,allowing them to complete the creation of the story world in the process of substantive co creation.Fans also gradually participate in the creation of the story world in this atmosphere of co creation.This article believes that this form of creation will become the mainstream of future creation.In the context of media convergence,the cross media narrative of Western film and television creation is at the forefront.The attempt to cross media narrative in China’s film and television industry began with works on the theme of Xianxia.Among the works on the theme of Xianxia,the earliest cross media narrative work was the "Legend of the Immortal Sword and the Magical Knight" series,involving multiple media platforms such as movies,TV dramas,comics,and stand-alone online games.This article will analyze the domestic Xianxia dramas represented by "The Legend of Xianjian Qixia",elaborate on the current situation of cross media narration in Xianxia themed film and television works,and explore its textual core.This article uses cross media narration as a theoretical tool,takes Xianxia drama as the research object,and comprehensively uses survey methods,literature research methods,and case study methods to explore the development status of cross media narration in Xianxia drama one by one,comb the origins of cross media narrative theory,and analyze the construction of the source world of Xianxia drama,the key links of cross media narration in Xianxia drama,as well as the shortcomings and development prospects of cross media narration in China.The specific contents of each chapter are as follows:The first chapter summarizes the origin and current situation of Xianxia drama.Its development in China is inseparable from the impact of other countries.This article analyzes the impact of external factors and current consumption patterns on domestic dramas,as well as the social reasons for the birth of Xianxia drama.The second chapter combs out the theory of cross media narrative,presenting its development process and core perspectives.The third chapter discusses the construction method of the source world in the cross media narrative creation of Xianxia drama.Through careful analysis of the construction method of the story world in "The Legend of Xianjian Qixia",it presents how to construct the source world in the general sense of cross media narrative.Chapter 4 analyzes the key links of cross media narration,analyzes the internal connections and differences of cross media narration through in-depth exploration of multi media collaborative narration and linkage narration,and discusses the participation of fans in culture and media transformation.The fifth chapter discusses the shortcomings and development prospects of cross media narration.In the process of developing cross media narration,it is inevitable to encounter various problems,among which how to balance culture and commerce is still the first issue to be solved in this new creative form.
