Allegorical cartoon is a kind of painting art that describes the world and criticizes the reality.From the Qing government to the Revolution of 1911,the Northern Expedition War,the War of Resistance against Japan,the War of liberation,the war of resistance to the United States and aid Korea and so on.There are many allegorical cartoonists.They created a lot of disclosure of social reality in the events of the war.Works of art that express the needs of the people.Ding Cong as a cross-time artist.Born in the age of warlord rule,faced the baptism of war.I also watched the corruption of officials and the suffering of people’s livelihood during the turbulent times.I also witnessed the epic transformation from decline to prosperity after the founding of New China.He made many artistic attainments in his life.But allegorical cartoons were his longest-lasting hobby.It is his most unique artistic language.This paper discusses the allegorical cartoon works created by Ding Cong,a famous cartoonist.The first chapter dialectically analyzes the origin of allegorical cartoons.After exploring the rise of Chinese allegorical comics during the Republic of China.It also paves the way for the following analysis of Ding Cong’s artistic experience.The second chapter briefly discusses Ding Cong’s life.It also expounds Ding Cong’s artistic experience through three stages: his boyhood period,the period of Anti-Japanese War and liberation and the period of reform and opening up.The third chapter analyzes the stage creation and artistic characteristics of Ding Cong allegorical cartoon.An analysis of the stage characteristics of Ding Cong’s allegorical cartoons from 1934 to 1956 and from 1978 to 2006.And from the theme,composition,line drawing and modeling of Ding Cong allegorical cartoon specific artistic characteristics.Ding Cong did not create allegorical cartoons during the anti-right struggle and Cultural Revolution.So there is no writing to repeat.The fourth chapter explores the social functions created by Ding Cong’s allegorical cartoons from the perspectives of education and publicity.The fifth chapter summarizes the artistic contribution and enlightenment of Ding Cong’s allegorical comics to the development of modern Chinese comics and anti-corruption comics.Through the study of Ding Cong allegorical cartoons.Try to break through the usual interpretation of Ding Cong’s works.It deconstructs the social and the continuity of national traditions from the creative perspective of the works.Enrich the understanding and interpretation of Ding Cong and his allegorical cartoons.Thus,it shows that China’s anti-corruption cartoons have a track to follow.
