| The Central Soviet Union is a central revolutionary base area established during the Second Revolutionary War under the leadership of the old generation of proletarian revolutionaries.The newspaper illustration design of the Central Soviet Area inherited and carried forward the fine tradition of revolutionary literature and art creation,and was a new art form popular among the people of the Soviet Area,highlighting the national characteristics,artistic characteristics and characteristics of the times,and forming a unique design ideology in keeping the righteousness and innovation,laying the foundation for the development of design art in the new China.The pictorial approach is a method of interpreting images from the perspective of history and humanities,which focuses on the deeper meaning of images.This study adopts a combination of iconography,interdisciplinary research,and textual investigation under the overall vision of the "grand historical perspective" to analyze the art and explore the connotations of Soviet newspaper illustration design works,and to systematically sort out the academic views and research orientations on iconography and Soviet literature and art.Based on the above premise,we attempt to explore the metaphorical connotation of newspaper illustration design in the Central Soviet Union by using pictorial methods,and form four core parts:Firstly,Pannofsky’s interpretive approach and its applicability to the study of illustration.The purpose of this section is to introduce Pannofsky’s theoretical system and to explain its applicability to the study of illustration design at three levels of pictorial analysis,including description,analysis and interpretation.Second,the historical evolution of newspaper illustration design in the Central Soviet Union.This part is to grasp the background and development history of newspaper illustration design in the cultural context of historical generation.Newspaper illustration design in the Central Soviet Union was born under the impetus of socio-historical reality and revolutionary literature,and has gone through three stages of development: budding,flourishing,and crisis.Thirdly,the pictorial interpretation of newspaper illustration design in the Central Soviet Union.The first level is the pre-pictorial description stage,which analyses the constituent elements of newspaper illustration design in the Central Soviet Area in terms of composition,graphic elements and colour expression,and provides an intuitive description of its argumentation;the second level is the pictorial analysis stage,which provides a comprehensive overview of its themes and forms of expression,and can be divided into four themes: realistic depiction,reflecting The third level is the stage of pictorial interpretation,in which the viewpoint of "tools and weapons" is put forward from the perspective of utility to summarise the political,revolutionary and struggle characteristics of illustration design,and the ideological perspective to propose The third level is the pictorial interpretation stage,which proposes the viewpoint of "tools and weapons" to summarize the political,revolutionary and struggling characteristics of illustration design,and the viewpoint of "people’s new literature and art" to summarize the ideological,popular and popular characteristics of illustration design.The theme is "Inheritance and Enlightenment".Fourth,the value and inspiration of newspaper illustration design in the Central Soviet Union from the perspective of iconography.This part focuses on the value and implication of newspaper illustration design in the Central Soviet Area from the perspective of materialistic historical viewpoint,from the historical perspective,the Central Soviet Area illustration design works carry revolutionary historical facts and evoke collective memory;from the spiritual perspective,the Central Soviet Area newspaper illustration design builds a national design art form and awakens national spirit;from the artistic perspective,the Central Soviet Area illustration design creates a new situation of "red design" and promotes the development of Yan’an literature and art.From the artistic point of view,Central Soviet illustration design created a new situation of "red design" and promoted the development of Yan’an literature and art.In addition,the discussion on the illustration design of newspapers in the Central Soviet Area has given some insights into the issues of adherence to creative orientation,selection of subject matter and balance between aesthetics and utilitarianism,with a view to providing guidance for the creation of red design in the new era. |
