A Study On The Tragic Aesthetics Of Zhang Yueran's Novel

Tragedy is an important category of aesthetics.Many novels of contemporary writer Zhang Yueran are full of tragic color.Previous studies tend to focus on the creative characteristics of Zhang Yueran’s novels,while the discussion on the tragic aesthetic thoughts and characteristics of Zhang Yueran’s novels is less.Starting from the theory of tragic aesthetics,this paper expounds the tragic implication,artistic creation,tragic origin and significance of Zhang Yueran’s novels,and explores the core meaning of Zhang Yueran’s tragic aesthetic creation.The paper consists of five parts:The first chapter is the introduction,which introduces the author Zhang Yueran and his works,and puts forward the reason and significance of this thesis.The second chapter discusses the tragic aesthetic characteristics of Zhang Yueran’s novels,including four aspects: the bleak and cruel theme of the novel,the paranoid and gloomy image of the characters,the plot setting of dark violence and the image description of light and dark.The third chapter discusses the tragic expression in artistic form of Zhang Yueran’s novels,including the use of defamiliarization language,the construction of lonely atmosphere and the arrangement of complex and diverse structures.The fourth chapter analyzes the origin and style change of the tragic aesthetics of Zhang Yueran’s novels,analyzes the tragic writing of Zhang Yueran’s novels by using the western classical tragedy theories such as Aristotle,Hegel and Jasper,and seeks the source of his tragic aesthetic creation.In addition,under the background of commercialization,the influence of the alternative youth writing trend and the aesthetic orientation of youth pain literature also led to the unique aesthetic style of Zhang Yueran’s novels.The fifth chapter discusses the value and limitations of the tragic expression in Zhang Yueran’s novels.The conclusion part points out that Zhang Yueran combines western tragic aesthetics with Chinese avant-garde literary creation,and the novel shows the unhappiness of the youth group’s survival,the pain of growth,the loss of ideals,the spiritual predicament and the collapse of values under the shell of tragedy,giving people a strong sense of tragedy.The novel does not simply indulge in personal literary fantasy feelings.The characters who are still full of flesh and blood in front of suffering show people the sublimity of spirit.The paranoid character of the characters,the strong tragic flavor of the theme,and a series of tragic plots that violate the normal of life are filled in the novel,which makes her works have strong tragic color,profound tragic meaning,unique style and considerable value.
