The financial crisis of 2008 once again brought the irrational and violent side of capitalism to light, and anti-capitalist thinking in Western capitalist societies was revived, awakening the "ghost" of communism that had been lingering in people’s minds.A number of Western radical left-wing thinkers held a series of international conferences on the theme of "the idea of communism ",and the famous Slovenian philosopher Slavoj Zizek, who was a key organizer and participant in all these conferences, believes that communism is still the theoretical guidepost for the struggle against capitalism today. Therefore, analysis and study of Zizek’s communist thought will help to enrich our knowledge of the "communist thought" of foreign Marxism and provide important theoretical resources and practical references for promoting the innovation and development of contemporary Chinese Marxist philosophy. In view of this, this paper starts from the philosophical basis of Zizek’s communist thought——the concrete universal, and analyzes the critical basis and realistic basis of its ideological construction. Its critical basis is the criticism of a capitalist ideology, and the realistic basis is the current capitalism’s encroachment on human the "commons",indicating that Zizek is based on the above three foundations to construct a communist thought as the concrete universal and the "commons" deployment method. Then the paper also explores the practical aspects of Zizek’s communist thought, namely how to achieve the concrete universal and how to deploy the "commons" in reality. The philosophical foundations and the critique and analysis of capitalism in Chapter 2 not only form the theoretical basis of Zizek’s communist thought, but also determine the three characteristics of his communist thought: anti-utopianism,non-identity,and the possibility of impossibility. At the same time, the above theoretical elements further determined that the concrete revolutionary practice of Zizek’s communism would not rely on the formation of a proletarian party to carry out the class struggle,as was the case with the traditional communist revolution.Because in his view,in addition to the need to carry out a revolutionary struggle around the core main line of class struggle,it is also necessary to reposition the revolutionary subject and rely on sacred violence. The contemporary value of a comprehensive review of Zizek’s communist thought is that it opens up new horizons in the study of communism, provides a new perspective on the critique of capitalism, and rekindles the revolutionary torch of communism. However,Zizek’s communist thought also has three limitations: firstly,it lacks a macro-historical perspective on the whole;secondly,at the theoretical level,it is presented as a kind of anti-utopian utopia;thirdly,at the practical level, its realization path is presented as action without action. In general,He advocated revolutionary actions under the guidance of communist ideology to overthrow capitalism and explore new ways to achieve human freedom and liberation. In addition, the study of Zizek’s communist thought can provide us with three aspects of enlightenment, namely, improving dialectical thinking ability, adhering to historical materialism, and promoting social fairness and justice.
