The Integration Of Traditional Craftsmanship And Modern Technology

All parts of my country have unique traditional crafts.In the process of urban cultural construction,traditional crafts and cultural elements have been applied to urban public art,which has played a role in shaping urban cultural characteristics.However,cultural construction lags behind urban expansion,the continuation of traditional craftsmanship is in crisis,and traditional craftsmanship culture declines.As a result,the urban context and memory gaps appear,and the uniqueness of urban culture is also weakened.Therefore,the problem of the continuation of traditional craftsmanship culture needs to be solved urgently.At present,the trend of integration of art and technology is prominent.Shanghai,as a city where tradition and modernity coexist,this trend is particularly evident.From the perspective of public art,this paper analyzes the integration of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology in Shanghai’s contemporary public art.A case study is conducted to discuss how to help the continuation of the urban context by integrating traditional craft culture and modern technology.This article combines typical cases of the integration of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology in contemporary public art in Shanghai.It analyzes and summarizes the phenomenon of its fusion,and proposes the creation and design strategy of traditional science and art fusion based on the results of investigation and analysis,and provides theoretical guidance for practice.This paper is narrated through the following six chapters: Chapter 1,expounds the research background,clarifies the purpose and significance of the research,analyzes the current status of related research,and expounds the research methods and innovations of the paper;Chapter 2,first of all,from the perspective of public art The concept of fusion is defined,followed by a preliminary discussion on the fusion of science and art based on the theory of contemporary transformation of traditional culture,the continuation and inheritance of urban context,and the theory of space innovation and regional humanities practice;The typical cases of the fusion of science and art in public art and innovative design are classified and studied,and the elements and main characteristics of fusion design are summarized.The basic design requirements of fusion have laid the foundation for the design principles and methods;in the fourth chapter,firstly,the design principles of fusion are put forward,and then combined with the attributes of fusion technology and tools,the visual traditional crafts and the structural traditional crafts are respectively proposed.Integrate the design method,and finally summarize the specific design process to provide theoretical guidance for the design practice of the integration of science and art;Chapter 5,the design practice of Shanghai Xiaoxiaochang New Year Pictures,based on the historical evolution and current situation of Shanghai Xiaoxiaochang New Year Pictures.Analysis,followed by formulating design goals,analyzing design pain points,formulating design strategies,and finally showing the design process and effects;Chapter VI summarizes the conclusions and shortcomings of the research and makes an outlook.
