The emergence of the concept of atmosphere drove the discourse of aesthetics truly into the hands of the public.The introduction of atmosphere aesthetics as a new aesthetic face is not only dedicated to the study of human aesthetic relationship and aesthetic experience,but also provides ideological support for the development of visual design theory and opens up a diversified development direction.Based on the perspective of atmosphere aesthetics,this paper introduces the concept of "feminine space" in the visual practice of the Twelve Beauties of Jinling,focusing on the transformation of the artistic theory of atmosphere aesthetics in the oriental context by taking the visual design method as the research object and exploring the theory and design method.This paper adopts literature research method,comparative research method,case study method,and interdisciplinary research method to conduct in-depth research on the aesthetic dimension of female spaces in the Twelve Beauties of Jinling in terms of text,image,and spatial visual expression,in order to explore a path of visual design method with practical guidance from East and West.The research is divided into six parts,the first chapter is the introduction,the author elaborates the content,purpose and significance of the research,then compares and reviews the current situation of domestic and international research,and introduces the basic ideas and methods used in the research,then summarizes and outlines the innovation points of the research and the overall framework of the thesis,laying a solid foundation for the subsequent research work.;Chapter 2 provides an in-depth explanation of the historical context and theoretical content of atmospheric aesthetics,and a comparative analysis of the connotation,characteristics and use of atmospheric beauty in Chinese and Western artworks,which provides the ideological ground for the visual design approach of atmospheric aesthetics;Chapter 3 introduces the concept of "feminine space" into the aesthetic theory of atmospheric aesthetics for mutual interpretation.The third chapter introduces the concept of "female space" in the theory of atmospheric aesthetics for mutual interpretation,and on this basis interprets and analyses the aesthetic meaning of the atmosphere contained in the feminine space at the Twelve Beauties of Jinling,according to the aesthetic beauty of the poetic text space,the aesthetic beauty of the divine image space and the aesthetic beauty of the personality space of life,providing a reference for the visual design practice of the feminine space at the Twelve Beauties of Jinling in the local context of atmospheric aesthetics.Chapter 4,in the context of the merging of the aesthetics of atmosphere and classical Chinese aesthetics,proposes and elaborates on the principles of fluidity of the aesthetics of atmosphere,the experiential principle of the aesthetics of vitality and the unity principle of the aesthetics of life,and then proposes a series of visual design expressions.Chapter 6 concludes the study with a summary and outlook,concluding that the devolution of aesthetic discourse is clearly a double-edged sword.The opening up of the aesthetic frontier by atmospheric aesthetics can both cultivate people’s aesthetic sharpness and improve their aesthetic and cultural literacy;and at the same time,it can create a mixed aesthetic practice in the status quo of staging for everyone,thus creating a distorted aesthetic value orientation.Therefore,the theoretical development of atmospheric aesthetics has to be a two-pronged approach in thought and practice,both in terms of constantly enriching its wings in the global cultural context of communication,and in terms of following and leading the pace of the times in visual practice.The innovation of this paper is that the subject explores the visual connotation and visual expression of Chinese and Western atmosphere aesthetics,contrasts and analyzes the differences and inner universal connections between the two,examines the "similarities in differences" and "differences in similarities" between the two,explores the logical coupling of the two,and reveals the general development of the discipline.The paper proposes a theoretical innovation of the external and internal spatial approach to the creation of atmospheric beauty,which is expected to promote the development of the artistic theory of atmospheric aesthetics.In terms of aesthetic practice,this paper attempts to raise the level of visual design research from the level of artistic thinking to the level of aesthetic thinking and even more so to the level of philosophy,opening up new perspectives for visual design theory research.In terms of design practice objects,the aesthetics of atmosphere provides new visual possibilities for the Twelve Beauties of Jinling,injects new vitality into cultural heritage,and enhances the dissemination of excellent traditional culture.In addition,in the process of research and design,the subject research has explored the aesthetic connotation of the Twelve Beauties of Jinling and enriched the aesthetic thought theory of the Dream of the Red Chamber.Atmospheric aesthetic thought is green and cloudy,and visual design theory is blossoming,this paper is just the light of a firefly,saluting the tomorrow of atmospheric aesthetics and visual design with a faint light.
