Analysis Of The Audiovisual Expression And Creative Value Of The Countryside Character Documentary "Reverse Youth"

Audiovisual expression,as an important means of expression,plays a very important role in the entire process of creating,shooting,and editing character documentaries.Reasonable use of audiovisual expression is crucial for conveying emotions,shaping characters,constructing visuals,connecting editing,and drawing sound.Based on this,it is necessary to select suitable works and conduct in-depth research on their audio-visual expression.A rural character documentary is a form of work that mainly records elements such as rural humanities,history,and culture.With the help of rural documentaries,it can vividly showcase issues such as uneven urban-rural development,and its widespread dissemination can resonate with society.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,especially the proposal of the "Rural Revitalization" strategy,the wave of educated youth returning to their hometowns has surged,causing significant changes in the age structure and knowledge structure of rural areas.The influx of educated youth has broken the rural structure and become a "more valuable" filming object.The graduation work "Reverse Youth" closely follows the development reality,using specific entrepreneurial stories of returning youth as the starting point,and using rich audio-visual expression techniques to showcase the perseverance and courage of rural youth in the context of "rural revitalization".This paper adopts various research methods such as literature research and case analysis to study the graduation work "Reverse Youth" from the perspective of audio-visual expression analysis and creative value,attempting to extract valuable theoretical models from it.The author discusses this article from four aspects.Firstly,it elaborates on the relevant concepts and image expression forms of character documentaries;Then,the audio-visual expression of rural character documentaries is analyzed layer by layer,because audio-visual expression plays an important role in promoting the narrative of documentaries,and is an important means to improve the content,viewing,and artistic value of the work;Secondly,an in-depth analysis was conducted on the creative value of the work,deconstructing the entire text from different perspectives;Finally,a combination of theory and practice is used to conduct a thorough analysis of the style and shortcomings of the work.
