Semantic prosody is a concept rising with the development of corpus linguistics. It refers to a certain attitude tendency hidden in the long-term co-occurrence of node words and collocation items.semantic prosody has the characteristics of implicit, and the semantic prosody of similar words may also be different.“shi shu”“shi zai” and “que shi” belong to the same category of confirmed adverbs with similar semantics.Based on this, this study attempts to investigate the semantic prosody characteristics of “shi shu”“shi zai” and “que shi”,and explain the formation mechanism of their semantic prosody characteristics. This article mainly includes four parts:The introduction part defines the semantic prosody and the confirmed adverbs of the confirmed category of the object of study in this paper, such as “shi shu”“shi zai” and “que shi”briefly describes the current research situation of semantic prosody and confirmed adverbs, expounds the research significance and methods, and explains the processing standards of the corpus, the data extraction steps and the key points of semantic prosody analysis in this study. The first, second and third chapters have respectively investigated and analyzed the right collocation and semantic trend of the collocation items of the confirmed adverbs “shi shu”“shi zai” and “que shi”,and finally constructed the semantic prosody of “shi shu” “shi zai” and“que shi”.Among them,“shi shu” is connected by “shi shu+adj/AP” “shi shu+v/VP”and “shi shu+idiom”.Due to the semantic deflection, the semantic prosody of “shi shu” is in the stage of developing from negative semantic prosody to complex semantic prosody. In the main category connection “shi shu+adj/AP” the collocation of “shi shu”has two semantic trends:“super normal”and“extraordinary”;The connection of “shi zai” includes “shi zai+adj/AP” “shi zai+v/VP” and “shi zai+idiom”.The semantic prosody of “shi zai”is a typical negative semantic prosody. The collocation of “shi zai” has two common semantic tendencies. The former points to the high degree of the nature of things in “shi zai+shi+NP”“shi zai+shi+AP” and “shi zai+adj/AP”,while the latter points to the negative ability in “shi zai+shi+VP” and “shi zai+v/VP”;The “que shi” class join includes “que shi+adj/AP” “que shi+v/VP” and “que shi+idiom”.The collocation of negative, positive and neutral semantic tendencies in the semantic prosody of “que shi” is relatively balanced in the co-occurrence frequency, showing that there are more negative elements, followed by positive and neutral elements. In the class connection “que shi+adj/AP”,the semantic trend of its collocation items is characterized by high degree of nature. In the class connection “que shi+v/VP”,the semantic trend of the node word “que shi” is characterized by objectivity and factionalization. The fourth chapter explains the formation mechanism of the semantic prosody of the confirmed adverbs“shi shu” “shi zai” and “que shi” from five perspectives, namely, verbal and factual discourse markers and linguistic iconicity, focus and focus markers, communication function and reliability, cooperation principle and politeness principle, and implicit learning. The fifth chapter summarizes the conclusions of the semantic prosody study of the confirmed adverbs“shi shu”“shi zai” and “que shi”,and reflects on some of the re maining shortcomings of this study.
