The Research Of The Characters Of Qin Weapons Inscriptions

The Qin script,which was inherited from bronze inscription of the Shang and Zhou Dynasties and followed by documentary characters,occupies an important position in the history of Chinese character development.The inscription of Qin weapons is an important part of the unearthed Qin writing materials.However,among the existing research results of Qin weapons,the research on the inscription of Qin weapons is scattered,especially the research results on the glyph are rare.Therefore,it is necessary to study the character and form of Qin weapons inscriptions separately.In this paper,taking Shang and Zhou Bronze Inscriptions and Image Integration and Continuation of Shang and Zhou Bronze Inscriptions and Image Integration,which are the richest collections of bronzes at present,as materials,190 Qin weapons with inscriptions have been collected exhaustively,and these 190 inscriptions of Qin weapons are taken as research objects,and the single words in them are sorted out,we can get a glimpse of the overall features and characteristics of Qin characters and understand the development sequence of Qin characters by making a detailed investigation on the formation system,body inheritance phenomenon,body evolution law and body characteristics of Qin weapons inscriptions.There are six parts in this paper:The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research object of the article,the current research status of Qin weapon inscriptions,the significance of topic selection and research methods,sorts out the characters in Qin weapon inscriptions.The second part is a study of the configuration system of the characters of Qin weapons inscriptions,using the theory of Chinese character configuration to investigate the character’s configuration system of Qin weapons inscriptions,and investigates the components,structural types and configuration mode of Qin weapon inscriptions in detail.The third part is the form inheritance phenomenon of Qin weapon inscriptions.By tracing back to Shang,Western Zhou and Spring and Autumn Qin characters,it is found that many forms in Qin weapon inscriptions directly inherit Shang,Western Zhou or Spring and Autumn Qin characters.The fourth part is the evolution phenomenon of Qin weapon inscriptions.By comparing with Shang,Western Zhou and Spring and Autumn Qin inscriptions,as well as the internal comparison of Qin weapon inscriptions,it is found that there are four phenomena in the evolution of Qin weapon inscriptions: "simplification","multiplication","erroneous change" and "replacement".The fifth part is about the physical features of Qin weapon inscriptions.By comparing with bronze inscription of the Western Zhou Dynasty,Spring and Autumn Qin inscriptions and Warring States Qin inscriptions,it summarizes the epochal features of Qin weapon inscriptions in the early Spring and Autumn Period and the middle and late Warring States Period,and summarizes the regional features of Qin weapon inscriptions by comparing with other regions’ characters.The sixth part is the conclusion,based on the full text,which makes a relatively complete and comprehensive summary of the inscriptions on Qin weapons.Also attached are "Abbreviation List of Cited Books","Basic Components List of Qin Weapon Inscriptions","General configuration Analysis Table of Qin Weapon Inscriptions" and "Compilation of Qin Weapon Inscriptions" for reference.
