Go is both an important part of Chinese and Japanese culture and an important subject in the cultural exchange process between the two countries,as well as a frequent object of description in Chinese and Japanese art works. At the end of the20 th century and the beginning of the 21 st century, along with the cultural exchange boom between China and Japan,Japanese manga HIKARU No Go and anime HIKARU No Go were introduced to China, which not only met the diverse needs of the Chinese cultural market, but also set off a wave of Go-based narratives in the Chinese cultural market.A large number of Go novels,Go animes,Go movies, and Go TV drama showing Chinese Go culture came into being. Both the Japanese anime HIKARU No Go and the Chinese TV drama HIKARU No Go are adapted from the Japanese manga HIKARU No Go.Both seem to recreate the same "Go story",but in fact they represent two stories in different media and cultures: the Japanese Go story and the Chinese Go story.Starting from the perspective of comparative literature influence research and parallel research, this paper sorts out the influence process of Japanese manga and anime HIKARU No Go on Chinese Go artworks from "imitation to adaptation",and analyzes the "crossover" and "comparability" between the Japanese anime HIKARU No Go and the Chinese TV drama HIKARU No Go.Then, from the comparison of in terms of theme, character image and narrative, his paper further analyzes and studys: the different adaptation strategies of Japanese anime HIKARU No Go and Chinese TV drama HIKARU No Go to the same original text——Japanese manga HIKARU No Go,and the similarities and differences of the same “Go story” through the absorption and transformation of Chinese and Japanese cultures. From these differences and similarities,we reveal the close relationship between Chinese and Japanese Go since ancient times, the specific connotation of Go in the Chinese and Japanese cultural systems, and the reception and comparative of the original text in the Chinese TV drama HIKARU No Go.In terms of theme, both show the theme of "the soul of Go".The process of growing up as a player pursuing the ideal of Go and exploring the path of Go is also the process of the development of Go heritage. At the same time, under the influence of Japanese Bushido spirit and Chinese Confucian thought,Chinese and Japanese Go players understand and express the spirit of Go with great national character. In terms of character image, the Japanese anime HIKARU No Go is faithful to the original story in creating a group of Japanese players, while the Chinese TV drama HIKARU No Go relies on Chinese culture to create a group of Chinese players while retaining the core elements of the original story’s main character image. In terms of narrative, due to the differences between the two works and the subjects, the narrative languages of the two works differ which are manifested in three aspects: plot, time and point of view.In conclusion, due to the influence of the media and Go culture, the Japanese anime HIKARU No Go is still a formal adaptation of the original, with maximum fidelity to the original in terms of content. It recreates the Japanese Go from the original manga. But the Chinese TV drama HIKARU No Go reinterprets and recreates the original work in terms of content and form, and in the process of adaptation,it is both faithful to the original work and closely related to Chinese Go.Therefore,in the Chinese TV drama HIKARU No Go,the events are still those in the original work, but after being filtered and selected by Chinese culture, another Go story with Chinese characteristics has been formed. The differences and similarities between the Chinese TV drama HIKARU No Go and the Japanese anime HIKARU No Go are fundamentally the differences and similarities in the media narrative between the anime and the TV drama, the differences and similarities between Chinese and Japanese Go culture, and the result of the reception and comparative of the original in the Chinese TV drama HIKARU No Go.
