Louise Glück,the 2020 Nobel Prize in Literature,is one of the most important contemporary American lyric poets.American Confessional Poetry refers to the "Confessional Poetry" and "Post-confessional Poetry",her poetry began with confessional lyric poetry,so she has been classified as "confessional poet",but she constantly on poetry creation road reflection,and explore and polish their poetry,from the self monologue to the literary lyric,gradually realize the American confessional poetry beyond.Starting from the influence of confessional poetry,this paper discusses the transcendence and significance of Glück’s poetry creation to the American Confessional Poetry.The first chapter mainly introduces the American Confessional Poetry and explains the origin of Louise Glück and the it."Confessional Poetry" and "Post-confessional Poetry" emerged in the 1950 s and 1960 s after World War II.They complied with the voice of the times,broke the shackles of form and expressed their personal feelings directly,representing the maturity of contemporary American poetry.Louise Glück is one of the most important contemporary lyric poets in the United States.Since poetry has a great influence on his early works.However,Glück constantly summarized,reflected and innovated,and gradually explored his own poetry creation path,and has a profound impact on the future development of contemporary American lyric poetry.The second chapter mainly summarizes Louise Glück’s transcendence of confessional poetry in the aspect of poetry form,including the original poetry anthology structure and poetry structure,the narrative perspective of poetry and the unique poetic voice.The layout of "book-length poetic sequence" makes different poems have internal unity,forming a complete narrative like a novel;the allegorical style is highly compatible with the narrative lyric poetry advocated by Glück,and is successfully applied in the poetry collection pasture.The "witness" perspective of Glück’s poetry enables it to bypass the excessive attention to the self,uncover the truth of life,and convey it with the changeable poetic voice under the "mask".The third chapter mainly summarizes Louise Glück’s transcendence of confessional poetry in terms of poetic content,including creative quoting and rewriting of classical myths,the continuation and deepening of family and personal themes.The collision of ancient Greek and Roman mythology and contemporary life;the poetry of family life is the examination of affection and marriage,representing the concern and thinking of the problems of individual existence.The fourth chapter mainly summarizes the value and significance of Louise Glück’s transcendence to the American Confessional Poetry.Glück continues the attention of the society,critically examines the material world,writing the current situation of contemporary women and finding a way out.Glück’s growing experience as a poet and his adherence to the principle of "truth" are enlightening to the contemporary lyric poets,and the universality of his personal poetry points out the development direction of the contemporary American lyric poetry.
