Death Narrative Of Jin Renshun ’s Novel

Since the publication of her first book in the 1990 s,Jin Renshun has gained critical attention and become a representative of post-70 s female writers.Jin Renshun’s novels have a sober narrative stance,philosophical language,concise aesthetic style and rich and beautiful writing themes,which leave a lot of space for us to interpret.Throughout Jin Renshun’s more than 60 novels,she has always adhered to the literary position of short stories.Death has become an indispensable part of Jin Renshun’s novels,and the theme of "death" provides an interesting perspective for us to study Jin Renshun’s novels.Why is Jin Renshun so interested in writing about death? How does she express her thoughts about death? Which identities influenced her writing about her death? With such doubts,this paper will sort out and study the death writing in Jin Renshun’s novels as a whole,explore and analyze its unique way of expression and ideological connotation,and explore the reason why she is so obsessed with death based on the author’s background and ethnic identity.This paper is divided into the following parts: The introduction mainly expounds the background and significance of the topic selection,literature review and innovation points of the thesis;The first chapter discusses the typical way of death in Kim In-soon’s novels,namely natural death,suicide,accidental death,and violent death,and explore the implications behind these ways of death.The second chapter analyzes the social criticism,life consciousness,love deconstruction and female consciousness expressed in her death narrative from the perspective of ideological and cultural implications.The third chapter discusses the creative strategy of death narrative by using narratology,image research and other methods,such as cold,forming in the aspect of narrative writing style,with the "red" color image to symbol,foil,suggest that the characters’ death,in the form of more words make the characters’ death is shrouded in mystery and hazy,give a person the sense of destiny and profound mystery.The fourth chapter explores the causes of death narration from the perspectives of daily life,national identity and witch culture,and analyzes the internal value and external value of death narration from the perspectives of narratology and aesthetics.The last part is the conclusion,which briefly discusses the limitations of Jin Renshun’s death narrative in terms of characterization,theme implication,subject area,etc.Based on the status of ethnic minority female writers,this paper combines the classical love themes,modern love themes,and youth encounters in Jin Renshun’s novels,and introduces literary theories such as sociology,narratology,and aesthetics,to make an in-depth discussion of the death phenomenon in the works.
