A Report On Simulated Interpretation Of The Press Conference Of 2nd China-Central Eastern Europe Expo

With economic globalization,trade liberalization and further development of Belt and Road Initiative,China-Europe relations continue to prosper.The Press Conference of 2nd China-CEEC Expo was officially launched in Ningbo,Zhejiang Province in 2021.With the theme of “Building a New Pattern,Sharing New Opportunities”,it helps China and Europe understand each other’s trade and investment policies,scientific and technological innovation,infrastructure,and interconnection projects.The Press Conference of CEEC Expo is of great significance,so the author conducts a simulation consecutive interpreting and summarizes relative business interpreting strategies.The author has divided this report into four chapters.The first chapter is an introduction to the report.The second chapter describes the pre-task preparation,interpreting process and post-interpreting work.In the third chapter,in the direction of the Interpretive Theory,the interpreter summarizes the strategies of comprehending words and phrases with Chinese characteristics,terminologies,and inner logic between sentences.Then in deverbalization part,the author summarizes translation strategies of conversion.In re-expression part,the author proposes information supplement and simplification to reduce the translator’s memory burden and narrow the gap between Chinese and English culture.The fourth chapter is a conclusion,including major findings,reflections,and limitations.While acquiring necessary background,interpreters can integrate theory with practice to enhance their general work performance.By summarizing the interpreting strategies in the direction of the Interpretative Theory in practice,the author hopes to improve the overall qualities of interpretating and accumulate relevant experience.
