There are a large number of synonyms in Chinese.Discrimination of synonyms is the key and difficult point for foreign students to learn vocabulary." Regulations " "regular pattern " and "rule" are a group of synonymous words with the same morpheme.Their usage and meaning are very similar.Sometimes it is difficult for native Chinese speakers to distinguish them.They often make mistakes in use,which is easier for foreign students to confuse.Although scholars have done a lot of case studies on the discrimination of synonyms,there are few people to distinguish the "Regulations" "regular pattern " and "rules" of synonyms.Through the investigation of HSK dynamic composition corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University,the author finds that the frequency of foreign students mixing these three words is high.Therefore,we think it is necessary to conduct a detailed investigation and comparative analysis of this group of words.Based on this,from the perspective of Chinese as a foreign language,this paper will analyze the relevant corpora of the three words "Regulation" " regular pattern" and "rule" through the modern Chinese corpora of CCL and BCC,study their similarities and differences in semantics,grammar and pragmatics,investigate the error cases of "Regulations" " regular pattern " and "rules" in HSK dynamic composition corpus,analyze the reasons for the errors,and then start from the teaching materials Teachers and learners put forward some targeted teaching suggestions from three aspects,hoping to help foreign students reduce the occurrence of such errors,and also hope to provide some new ideas and references for foreign students’ synonym discrimination and teaching.Through the detailed comparative study of "Regulations" "regular pattern" and "rules",this paper draws the following conclusions;First,the three have both similarities and differences in semantics and syntax.Second,the types of errors are mainly mixed,and there are other errors such as wrong addition,omission and wrong sequence.Third,the main causes of errors are Chinese vocabulary factors,foreign students’ own factors and textbook factors.Fourth,teaching suggestions on "Regulations" "regular pattern" and "rules".In terms of textbook compilation,we should increase the accuracy of English interpretation,improve and refine the discrimination of synonyms,and pay attention to the diversification of exercise design;Teachers should flexibly use a variety of teaching methods,teach appropriately,have the awareness of synonym discrimination and reproduction,and pay attention to the comparison of different languages;Learners should give full play to their subjective initiative,summarize and summarize in time,practice frequently and pay attention to practice.This study hopes to help Chinese native speakers understand the specific differences between the three words "Regulation"," regular pattern " and "rule" more clearly and improve the accuracy of use;The research results are applied to teaching Chinese as a foreign language to help second language learners better master the usage of these three words and reduce errors.
