The classic image of Nezha was originally introduced into ancient Indian mythology by the Zoroastrianism of ancient Persia,and later introduced into China in the form of a Buddhist guardian deity.From then on,it began to evolve locally and was basically finalized in the novel "Fengshen Yanyi" as a godly and demonic figure.Today,the popular image of Nezha in film and television reflects its significant cultural status.The beloved image of Nezha has been brilliantly showcased in the film industry,especially in animated works where the character embodies different spiritual styles and cultural connotations across different periods.By analyzing the character design and behavior of Nezha in Chinese animation throughout different periods,we can gain a deeper understanding of the cultural significance behind the character and the changes in aesthetic concepts over time.This article mainly uses methods such as literature review,comparative study,and case analysis to study the transformation of Nezha’s image in Chinese animation and the profound changes in the animation’s image content and evolution reasons.The paper is mainly divided into five parts: the introduction part longitudinally sorts out the image of Nezha in literary history,and divides the evolution of the image of Nezha text into four stages according to the time process.Chapters 1 to 3 of the article divide the image of Nezha in national animation into three periods,namely the era of strong national style from 1961 to 1995,the period of influence by American and Japanese animation at the end of the 20 th century,and the era of diversified integration of commerce and culture since the new century.Analyze the visual image,personality characteristics and cultural connotations of Nezha’s character in each period.Chapter 4explores the reasons for the evolution of Nezha animation image from the aspects of policy support,the integration and development of emerging media,the innovation of film and television animation technology,and the change of aesthetic concepts of the times,and reflects on the character image created by national animation from the aspects of focusing on the characterization of villains,the tendency of audiences to become old,rooted in Chinese traditional culture,and highlighting the characteristics of nationalization,and strives to provide certain reference significance for the subsequent shaping of national animation characters.
