Disease is one of the most common themes in literature.Many works in the long history of modern and contemporary Chinese literature diffuse the shadow of disease narration.The author uses the image of disease to explain his observation and reflection on the social bad situation.When the novel coronavirus hit in 2020,the disease narrative returned to people’s vision,and the rich connotation of the disease narrative shone brightly.As a writer with medical background and psychological background,Bi Shumin viewed people and society in the disease situation with keen insight and compassion.She paid attention to people’s life consciousness and mental health,and her works were full of pity and comfort for the sick,The praise for the glory of human nature,which is full of the meaning of healing and treatment in the language of spring and rain,is a typical representative of the meaning of treatment in the disease narrative in the new century.This paper focuses on Bi Shumin’s works to explore the objects,methods and results of medical treatment in the disease narrative in the novel of the new century.The thesis is divided into introduction and five main parts.The introduction part defines the research object and related concepts,mainly the theoretical source of disease narrative and literary therapy and the embodiment in modern and contemporary literary tradition;Sort out the research status of disease narrative at home and abroad and clarify the research methods;Explain the significance and expected value of the paper.The first part combs the disease narrative tradition of modern and contemporary Chinese literature,and finds that it has a path from individual to society,revealing the path from disease to cure,from which to see the inheritance and evolution of disease narrative after the new century;At the same time,the disease narrative of the novel since the new century is classified and sorted out to roughly grasp the overall situation of the research object of the paper.The second part classifies and studies the morbid characters in the disease narrative of the new century novels,mainly according to their morbid psychology,and analyzes the causes and conditions of formation.Taking Bi Shumin’s novel creation as an example,there are mental symptoms in the individual in the novel,including the soul of the sick.The reason why patients are abandoned by the "health kingdom" is that they neglect their natural life attributes and lack the sense of suffering,and become "amnesia";On the other hand,the patient’s inferiority complex in the judgment of others in the novel leads to a sense of shame,resulting in psychological closure and mental trauma,and "aphasia" in the social context.The citizens of the health kingdom are also in the story of the disease Yuquan’s "Blood Baby Millet" as the specific analysis objects,and other novels will be used as text supplements throughout the whole thesis structure.The fourth part is the healing consciousness contained in the disease narration of the novel in the new century.First of all,the decontamination of disease metaphors makes patients come out of the shadow of social prejudice.The authors often use artistic exaggeration and romanticism to construct a new artistic world,focus on the sick body,and use a lot of ink to describe the symptoms after the disease and the suffering of the patients,so as to arouse the attention of the society to the patients themselves and the psychological changes of the sick bodyThe common feature of the novel is to strive for the dignity of life and actively resist alienation.The novel thus realizes the decontamination of the metaphor of disease from the physical representation to the spiritual level.Secondly,the disease narrative in the novel of the new century
