Since China entered an aging society, the elderly population has grown rapidly. It is expected that the elderly population will exceed 300 million people in 2025,and the social attention of the elderly population continues to increase. In this context, the theme of the elderly will also become a hot topic in the creation of documentary films. The creation of documentary films on the elderly in China began at the beginning of the reform and opening up,and has developed rapidly since 1990.A variety of documentary films on the elderly take authenticity as the creation standard, displaying the lifestyle, life experience, and spiritual world of different elderly people, expanding a new field and a more diverse perspective for the creation of documentary films on the elderly.Focusing on the late life of the elderly is the original intention of the documentary "Dwelling",which focuses on Granny Hu and Granny Tian, presenting the different lifestyles and mental states of the two elderly people, expanding the true voice of the elderly community, and conveying the theme of caring about the spiritual world of the elderly.Based on the analysis of the creation of documentary films about the elderly in China over the past 30 years, and combined with my graduate work "Habitat",I attempt to explore an innovative path for the creation of documentary films about the elderly.Firstly, focusing on the characteristics of the aging era, changes in the concept of providing for the elderly, and the development context of elderly documentary films, grasp the current situation and characteristics of the creation of elderly documentary films;Secondly,it focuses on two aspects: creation mode and image creation of the elderly, and analyzes the image narration and image creation of the elderly in the documentary "Habitat";Finally,by interpreting the lens language, analyzing the visual expression of the emotions of the elderly in the elderly documentary, creating a full and hierarchical image of the elderly, and also hoping to provide new ideas and perspectives for the theoretical development and creative practice of Chinese elderly documentary. |
