A Study Of Time And Space Consciousness In Liu Yuxi’s Poetry

The fictional time and space in classical poetry is the poet’s aesthetic reflection of the real time and space.The poetry must rely on certain time and space to exist,and the time and space in poetry is the basis of the existence of poetry.The emotion,artistic conception and style of poetry are all closely related to the time and space construction of poetry.The life form and values of poets and even the spirit of The Times can all be known through the time and space consciousness in poetry.Living in the Middle Tang Dynasty from prosperity to decline,Liu Yuxi wasted half his life and had considerable sensitivity to time and space,and formed a highly conscious awareness of time and space.This paper takes the space-time consciousness as the research entry point,conducts an overall study of Liu Yuxi’s poems,starts with exploring the reasons for the formation of Liu’s strong space-time consciousness,examines the content of his space-time feeling,perspectives the dynamic changes of his space-time consciousness,and then analyzes Liu Shi’s space-time design and interprets the space-time concept hidden in it.On the basis of this,the paper expounds the way of resolving the troubles of time and space in Liu Yuxi’s poems,and reveals Liu Yuxi’s positive spirit and optimistic life form.This paper is divided into four chapters to analyze and study Liu Yuxi’s poetic consciousness of time and space.The first chapter explores the reasons for the formation of strong consciousness of time and space in Liu Yuxi’s poems,which is divided into three sections.Spatiotemporal consciousness is shared by human beings,but the factors that trigger spatiotemporal consciousness and the intensity of spatio-temporal consciousness vary from individual to individual,which is closely related to the individual’s time environment,individual thought and individual life experience.This chapter discusses the changes in time and space from prosperity to decline,the rational and positive concept of time and space,the wasted and misplaced frustration of life,and reveals the reasons for the formation of Liu Yuxi’s strong sense of time and space in his poems from the great time and space of the poet’s times to the poet’s cognition of time and space and the value of life to the small time and space of individuals.The second chapter analyzes the feelings of time and space in Liu Yuxi’s poems,which is divided into three sections.Time and space consciousness changed with the change of time and space in his life.Liu Shi’s time and space consciousness showed different characteristics in his official career in Chang ’an,his achievements blocked in his migration to other places,and his Zhongyin transcendent period when he returned to Luoyang in his later years.Poetic perception of time and space is the poet’s emotional expression of time and space,and the carrier of consciousness of time and space.This chapter discusses the spatio-temporal feelings of Li Woo-suk’s poems from three sections: the spatio-temporal feelings of official career attainment,the spatio-temporal feelings of obstructed achievements,and the spatio-temporal feelings of hidden transcendence.It analyzes the contents of spatio-temporal feelings at each stage,and perspectives the changing process of the spatio-temporal awareness of Li Woo-suk’s poems from germination to maturity and intensity to dilution.The third chapter analyzes the space-time design of Liu Yuxi’s poems,which is divided into three sections.In this chapter,the poet’s concept of time and space is viewed from the perspective of poetry’s time and space design,showing the poet’s broad vision and broad mind,as well as the poet’s positive and enterprising spiritual characteristics and full of life rhythm.Firstly,this paper analyzes Liu Yuxi’s farreaching time design from the perspective of historical vision and imaginary time in the future.Secondly,it analyzes the majestic space design of Liu Yuxi’s poems from five aspects: the majestic space viewpoint,the expanding three-dimensional space,the size reflection of space,the transcendent virtual space and the time of space.Finally,this paper analyzes the parallel structure of Liu Yuxi’s poems from two aspects:simultaneous development of time and space and concurrent extension of time and space.The fourth chapter reveals the resolution of time and space worries in Liu Yuxi’s poems,which is divided into five sections.The coexistence of spatio-temporal distress and spatio-temporal consciousness is a kind of desolate and sorrowful emotion caused by the irresistible passage of time and the unsurpassable space.Whether and how to resolve spatio-temporal distress can reflect a person’s life form.This chapter discusses from the five sections of Zen learning to maintain life,create value to expand the width of life,vent to release anxiety,to drink to comfort and enjoy,and to empathy to landscape folk custom to comfort and rest,respectively,to interpret Liu Woo-xi’s aggressive and optimistic life form from the perspective of time and space anxiety resolution,to provide a more comprehensive complement to the interpretation of Liu Woo-xi.
