Application Of Chinese Traditional Auspicious Patterns In Modern Graphic Design

Chinese traditional auspicious patterns have a long history,bearing the essence of Chinese culture from ancient times to the present,carrying people’s yearning for a better life and hope for future life.Chinese traditional auspicious patterns are a combination of form and meaning,and are symbolic patterns with rich connotations,which contain the connotation of traditional Chinese culture and the great national spirit.With the development of modern graphic design and the realization of the localization of graphic design,more and more attention has been paid to the application of traditional auspicious patterns in China.However,traditional auspicious patterns have developed for thousands of years today,and they have a heavy sense of history and vicissitudes,which to some extent is difficult to adapt to the aesthetic habits of modern people.We should make modern people realize the beauty of Chinese traditional auspicious patterns,stimulate our cultural confidence,and pass on more traditional auspicious pattern elements with beautiful meanings to the public.Therefore,combining the elements and symbols of Chinese traditional auspicious patterns with global design languages,and integrating Chinese traditional auspicious patterns perfectly from the perspective of modern graphic design,so as to promote traditional patterns and achieve the nationalization of modern graphic design in China,this win-win matter is worthy of our permanent exploration.During the writing of the article,I consulted a large number of relevant documents,monographs on traditional Chinese auspicious patterns and modern graphic design,and exhibitions of related works,analyzed the differences in the forms of expression of traditional Chinese auspicious patterns,explored the profound connotation behind the patterns,and made a systematic reflection on the application of traditional Chinese auspicious patterns in modern graphic design by analyzing the aesthetic needs of modern society.Based on modern graphic design concepts,the application of traditional Chinese auspicious patterns should be explored and analyzed in what ways and methods.The paper is divided into five chapters: The first chapter is an introduction,research background,significance,domestic and foreign research status,research content,and so on.The second chapter expounds the concept,category,implication,and manifestation of traditional auspicious patterns in China.The third chapter analyzes the principles that should be followed when applying Chinese traditional auspicious patterns in modern graphic design,as well as the excellent cases of the application of Chinese traditional auspicious patterns in various fields of modern graphic design,and explores practical application methods based on excellent cases.The fourth chapter focuses on the application methods of Chinese traditional auspicious patterns in modern graphic design.It analyzes and summarizes the application methods of Chinese traditional auspicious patterns in modern graphic design from three aspects: handicraft techniques,modeling,and composition methods.The fifth chapter is about the future application of Chinese traditional auspicious patterns in modern graphic design.I hope this study can provide help for the application of traditional Chinese auspicious patterns in modern graphic design in the future.
