Study On Xie Wuliang’s History Of Chinese Philosophy

As we all know,in the past,we filtered traditional Chinese learning into the inherent framework of Western philosophy by "leaning" and imitating the paradigm of Western philosophy,and established the so-called "Chinese philosophy".Although this way has made China rapidly establish the discipline of Chinese philosophy,and promoted the rapid development of Chinese philosophy.However,this research paradigm has also made Chinese philosophy lose its subjectivity and autonomy,as well as Chinese characteristics and national characteristics,making Chinese philosophy gradually become a "vassal" of Western philosophy,and establishing a "philosophy discovered in China".Early scholars intended to demonstrate the "legitimacy" of Chinese philosophy,but they did not expect to lead to a deeper crisis of "legitimacy of Chinese philosophy".In recent years,scholars have begun to rethink this issue.They generally believe that the research paradigm of "philosophy found in China" is "illegal" and is the root cause of the "crisis of legitimacy of Chinese philosophy".Therefore,it is proposed to change the existing research paradigm.While accepting and applying western academic understanding of Chinese philosophy,it is necessary to break through the shackles of Western philosophy on Chinese philosophy,strongly use "Chinese language" to tell Chinese stories,create modern philosophy with Chinese characteristics and national characteristics,and transform the mainstream research paradigm of Chinese philosophy from "philosophy discovered in China" to "Chinese philosophy".The history of Chinese philosophy is an important symbol and carrier of the establishment and development of Chinese philosophy.There are many books on the history of Chinese philosophy in China’s history.Among them,Xie Wuliang’s History of Chinese philosophy,the first book on the history of Chinese philosophy in China,does not take Western philosophy as the reference system and use Western philosophy research paradigm to find out the "Chinese philosophy" corresponding to Western philosophy from traditional Chinese academia,but takes traditional Chinese academia as the standard,Put Chinese philosophy in the same position as Western philosophy,and highlight and emphasize the academic independence,nationality and autonomy;At the same time,it is not to completely abandon Western philosophy,but to pay attention to absorb and learn from western learning,as one of the important tools to understand Chinese philosophy,but not the only perspective,with the help of modern western learning to interpret and understand traditional Chinese academic thought,and to interpret Chinese philosophy with the connotation of modern philosophy as the evaluation standard.Xie Wuliang is combining various advantages of Chinese and Western learning,taking Chinese traditional culture as the foundation,telling the evolution and content of Chinese philosophy in "Chinese",highlighting the unique academic charm and value of Chinese philosophy,and advocating the construction of Chinese philosophy with national characteristics and Chinese flavor.On the whole,it shows the research way of "Chinese philosophy",to a certain extent,it meets the new requirements of the current academic circles on the construction of modern philosophy,and has certain academic value for realizing the transformation of the research paradigm of Chinese philosophy.Therefore,this paper intends to restore the original appearance of Xie Wuliang’s History of Chinese philosophy on the basis of a careful study of the background and research methods of Xie Wuliang’s History of Chinese Philosophy,as well as the comparison and evaluation with Hu Shi’s,Zhong Tai’s and Feng Youlan’s works on the history of philosophy,to understand what aspects Xie Wuliang’s History of Chinese philosophy reflects "the history of Chinese philosophy" and shows the research path of "Chinese philosophy".And take Xie Wuliang’s "History of Chinese philosophy" as an important link and historical example in the process of investigating and studying the discipline construction of Chinese philosophy and the new development of modern philosophy,excavate its academic value,and talk about how Xie Wuliang’s "History of Chinese philosophy" meets today’s scholars’ conception of solving the legitimacy problem of Chinese philosophy,and what academic significance can be used for reference for today’s legitimacy crisis of Chinese philosophy.
