Since the industrial civilization, with the extensive exploitation and utilization of natural resources by human beings, environmental problems have become increasingly prominent. At this stage, the emphasis on environmental issues and the re-examination of the relationship between man and nature have become global issues. In ethnic minority areas, the natural resources are abundant and unique. In order to seek integration with the wider economic market, ethnic minorities usually take tourism as the starting point, and are committed to realizing economic development and improving the living standards of local people. As a result, the development of tourism will inevitably affect the local environment and the daily life of local people. The way and process of its impact are partly reflected in relevant tourism reports. This paper focuses on natural ecological issues from the linguistic level. The two concepts of ecology and language seem to be unrelated, but they actually have the possibility of combining them.In a broad sense, the concept of ecology encompasses the relationships between humans, humans and other organisms, and humans and their physical environment, and language plays an important role in human processing of these three relationships, that is,language plays an important role in building and maintaining various relationships. Most of the previous research on tourism news reports adopts the perspective of anthropology and news communication. In view of this, this paper uses 37 tourism reports in the Ganzi Daily, the official newspaper of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture as the corpus, builds a small corpus, adopts the research paradigm of ecological discourse analysis, and uses the representational language in Systemic Functional Linguistics. The transitive system of experiential functions, the attitude system of expressing interpersonal functions of language, and the thematic system of expressing discourse functions of language are the theoretical frameworks. With reference to ecological philosophy, this paper analyzes the language expression resources at the discourse level of Ganzi Daily in many aspects, and digs deep into the potential ecological values.Participate in specific tourism activities to provide linguistic inspiration. This paper mainly studies the following questions:(1)How are transitive resources, attitude resources and thematic resources distributed in the tourism news reports of Ganzi Daily?(2)How do the transitive resources, attitude resources and thematic resources in the tourism news reports of Ganzi Daily represent ecological awareness and ecological orientation?(3)What are the reasons for the emergence of relevant ecological characteristics and ecological awareness in the tourism news reports of Ganzi Daily?(4)What are the implications of the ecological discourse analysis results in this paper for ethnic minority areas?Chapter 1 of this paper briefly describes the research background, significance, purpose, method and research results of this paper.Chapter 2 defines the ecological philosophy that the discourse analysis of this paper refers to,and defines the theoretical framework of this paper from the perspective of systemic functional linguistics. From Chapters 3 to 5,under the three theoretical frameworks, the corpus is marked separately, and the corpus is analyzed at the discourse level according to high-frequency words, parts of speech, syntax, local semantics, etc.,so as to obtain the ecological content contained in the corpus.Based on different theoretical frameworks, different ecological concepts can be derived, which are either similar or have different emphasis. On the whole, the research shows that there are two important characteristics of tourism activities in the Ganzi area:(1)Leading agencies, local residents, and tourists are all important main forces driving the development of Ganzi tourism;(2)Tourism activities in Ganzi Prefecture are inseparable from economic activities;(3)There are contradictions in tourism reports in Ganzi Prefecture.Chapter 6 analyzes the reasons for the above-mentioned ecological characteristics, and puts forward suggestions for the healthy development of tourism activities in minority areas based on the analysis results. The reasons for the above-mentioned ecological characteristics can be mainly explained from the following three aspects: In terms of politics,Ganzi Daily,as a national media, plays a very important role in the country. In terms of culture, traveling abroad has become one of the important ways of life for people. How to integrate ecological culture into tourism activities and at the same time promote the communication and exchange of Tibetan culture and Han civilization are issues that need to be discussed in tourism-related activities in Ganzi. In terms of economy, economic development is the driving force and source of all social activities. As a minority area, the economic influence of Ganzi area is far from that of provincial capital cities, and economic development is an important way to seek development based on its own advantages`,which makes Ganzi have to face the accompanying problems of tourism activities.Based on the above research results, this paper puts forward several opinions on promoting the development of a healthy tourism economy in minority areas represented by Ganzi:(1)Enrich the content and reporting methods;(2)Pay attention to the participation of all the people;(3)Pay more attention to the role of discourse in constructing ecotourism.Attention to ethnic minorities and tourism activities in ethnic minority areas reflects the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind, and has far-reaching significance for building an ecological society.
