| Since the 1980 s,novels about the canal theme have been shining in the contemporary literary world in a unique manner.Because of the locality of their writing objects,they have shown distinctive local characteristics,which hides the writer’s whole-hearted experience and deep emotional connection to the local space of the canal.In the contemporary context,this thesis takes the contemporary novels and writers written by the canal as the research object,starting from the “local experience”of the writers,and explores the existence form and significance value of the local space with prominent characteristics of the canal civilization in the contemporary novels.The thesis consists of three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction part briefly summarizes the literary background of canal writing in contemporary novels,summarizes the current research situation of contemporary canal writing from a regional perspective,and explains the main content,research methods and research significance of this paper.The first chapter discusses the writing of canal landscape under contemporary writers’ “local experience”.Focusing on the typical canal waters,buildings and biological images in the novel,this paper analyzes the local image and connotation behind the novel constructed by the writer according to his own experience.The second chapter explores the influence of contemporary writers’ “local experience” on the writing type and significance of canal customs in the novel.The description of canal festivals,life customs and river worship in the novel reflects the author’s literary construction of local ideology,and reveals the profound relationship between people and local environment,such as spirit and morality.The third chapter studies the novel structure of contemporary writers on the basis of “local experience” on the mutual symbiosis of canal history and local history.Focusing on the three dimensions of the narrative of the canal history in the novel,namely,“Jianghu”,“national” and “folk”,this paper compares and discusses the differences in the construction of historical sites by writers in different places.The fourth chapter analyzes the contemporary writers’ experience and application of local literature resources in the canal space.Analyze the acceptance and use of local historical records,local literature and art and other literary resources that contemporary writers are familiar with,and explore the artistic characteristics of contemporary writers expressing local content in local form.The conclusion summarizes the views of the paper,combs the research contents,and expounds the literary value of the canal writing to the writing territory of the open place. |
