Li Peifu’s tender and changeable creative style has made him a key figure with transitional significance among Yu writers(Li Danmeng said).Rooted in the writing attitude of the Yuzhong Plain,Li Peifu’s novels have become a unique window to understand the world of the plains.His plains are both figurative and abstract.On the one hand,in his works,we can see the suffering life of individuals in the plains and the inferior roots of the peasants in the plains;on the other hand,what the writer shows through the plains is the suffering of the whole era and the inferiority of the ethnic group,and the writer raises the salvation of the specific plains people to the salvation of the entire human society.This makes his works not only have a strong regional and ethnic nature,but also have a cosmopolitan nature.This thesis mainly discusses the sense of redemption presented in Li Peifu’s novel.First,to analyze the background of the formation of Li Peifu’s redemptive consciousness,it mainly starts from the three aspects of the redemption writing of contemporary literature,the original sin idea of Western culture,and the enlightenment ideal of Chinese literature.Secondly,a close reading of the novel text analyzes the expression of this sense of redemption from both content and aesthetic aspects,and then explores the writer’s thinking on the way of redemption.On the one hand,Li Peifu’s appeal to people to stay in the countryside,to wandering between urban and rural areas,and finally to the construction of a redemption utopia,the writer’s ideal search process for redemption is actually the embodiment of his redemption and confusion;on the other hand,the writer’s integrated use of the two redemptive image subjects and objects of "ants" and "trees" also reflects the writer’s confusion of redemption,and the two rural writing tones intertwined under the gentle narrative are the embodiment of the writer’s redemption hope and despair.From the above analysis,it can be seen that although the writer is torn between hope and despair for salvation,the construction of utopia and the gentle narrative of the text show that the writer’s hope for redemption is more than desperate.Finally,explore the reasons why Li Peifu’s plains suffering and plains suffering people are difficult to redeem.Li Peifu’s sense of redemption made him pay attention to the suffering of the plains,and wrote about the living and real plains individuals in the suffering and the plains suffering caused by the times,supplementing the records of the sufferings of the plains.The writer’s concern for suffering in turn deepens his redemptive intentions,but due to factors such as race,era,and environment,the writer also clearly knows that people in the Central Plains are difficult to redeem.
