As an extremely special kind of Chinese words,culturally-loaded words not only have a general basic conceptual meaning, but also imply unique and personalized folk semantics in Chinese cultural connotations. The culturally-loaded words include nationality, polysemy, fixity, and development and variability.Due to the particularity and uniqueness of culturally-loaded words, they often do not have corresponding words in other languages, and there is no way to translate them directly. Therefore,it is inevitable to increase the difficulty for international Chinese teachers in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and it also increases the difficulty for students to understand and use them.In the current international Chinese language teaching,Chinese language international teachers do not attach enough importance to the teaching of culturally-loaded words, and there is rarely a separate mention of the teaching of culturally-loaded words in the curriculum objectives.Research on the teaching of culturally-loaded words is even minimal. In addition, the unique nature of culturally-loaded words can lead to Chinese learners not understanding the cultural factors attached to culturally-loaded words, and may even be influenced by their mother tongue culture, there is a deviation in understanding, making it difficult to fully understand and reasonably apply these words, causing the importance and sense of existence that culturally-loaded words should have in international Chinese language teaching to lose. This article summarizes the culturally-loaded words in the "New Chinese Proficiency Test Outline Level 6" and divides the 56 culturally-loaded words into seven categories. On the basis of connecting the theory of metaphor, the metaphorical patterns and mapping process diagrams of culturally-loaded words are used to explain the main expressive characteristics of metaphors. The specific analysis of the Chinese folk semantics in several categories of culturally-loaded words is conducted, and then the teaching methods and principles of culturally-loaded words are discussed in detail. Then, based on the summarized teaching principles and methods, appropriate teaching cases are designed for the two selected texts in the first volume of "Developing Chinese-Advanced Comprehension".The two teaching cases are compared to analyze the teaching characteristics of culturally-loaded words in the course progress.Based on the above research, the author hopes to design a teaching plan that can help Chinese learners better master culturally-loaded words.
