| Du Bois established theory of dialogic syntax in a series of research results published in Cognitive Linguistics in 2014.Du Bois found that in the same real natural conversation, the latter sentence tends to take the preceding sentence as a template, and then selects the words, structures and other language resources in the preceding sentence again to form parallelism,It makes people feel that there are similarities and close links in language structure between the two sentences and their corresponding components, that is,resonance. There is a mapping relationship between the corresponding components of parallel sentences, which is a syntactic relationship above the sentence level.Du Bois calls this phenomenon as dialogic syntax. The development of this theory is divided into theoretical and application levels. In the theory itself, previous research has focused on the determination of resonant effects and mapping structures, while in the application level,it has been used to analyze various discourses and texts. This also reflects situations that cannot be covered or explained by theory.Firstly,in previous studies, this theory has often been used to analyze modern dialogue, but no research has yet applied it to the analysis of ancient Chinese dialogue.Applying it to ancient Chinese argumentative texts in this study will verify its universality from a certain perspective; In terms of theory itself, whether dialogue resonance can continuously coordinate positions and express conversational meanings across multiple consecutive turns needs to be considered and reflected in special dialogues.Ancient Chinese question answering provides syntactic structural conditions, and relatively special implicit resonance is also reflected in ancient Chinese debates; There are various mapping structures in the text selected for this study. This study extensively draws on various diagrams and patterns from previous studies to demonstrate the mapping structure of resonance,in order to supplement various means of analyzing and presenting resonance. This paper will examine the ancient Chinese argumentative text the Intrigues of the Warring States to verify the reconciliation and prominence of discourse resonance to stance in ancient debate activities. At the same time, through the characteristics of the text itself,it examines the generation and characteristics of resonance in the dialogic mapping structure of more than a single turn. This study thoroughly examines the discourses in the whole book of the Intrigues of the Warring States and summarizes and sorts out thirty discourses with mapping structure as the analysis object.According to the classification method proposed by previous studies, the classification is carried out according to the degree of mapping structure. On the basis of text interpretation, the purpose of all discourses and the stance of both sides are judged and divided.Through various statistical data, the correlation between resonance and stance and the purpose of discourse is compared and explored. The analysis shows that the resonance of discourse is not only in modern discourse, but also originates from the stance of both sides of the discourse, and the strength of the stance is reflected in the form of resonance. There are three kinds of special situations in the collected data: non resonance, progressive questions and answers, and implicit resonance.Through the interpretation and analysis of the three special cases of stance and the cognition of the interlocutor, the characteristics of resonance spanning the turn, stance dominance, and form flexibility are verified. |
