Research On Spatial Narration Of Liu Xinwu’s Novels

As far as his artistic achievements are concerned,Liu Xinwu is not the most representative one in the history of contemporary literature,but as a cross-century "through-type" writer,he is the witness,participant and promoter of the whole course of literature development in the "new period",and his importance is self-evident.Throughout liu Xinwu’s novels in various periods,"space" is always the external feature of the text.Space not only exists as the place of the plot of the novel,but also directly participates in the narrative construction of the novel,and becomes the external mapping of the psychological world of the characters in the novel.At the same time,it contains liu Xinwu’s creative appeal and refers to the extremely rich internal value of the text.The spatial narrative structure in Liu Xinwu’s novels can be summarized as divergent structure and parallel structure,which are selfcontained and have their own specific characteristics.From the perspective of spatial types,this paper divides the space in Liu Xinwu’s novels into material space and psychological space,in which the material space often implies the various levels of sustenance of the characters,while the psychological space presents the representation of stagnation.In the construction of spatial narrative,Liu Xinwu uses some unique strategies and skills.To be specific,Liu Xinwu usually chooses space based on the writing purpose,and controls space through the combination of omni perspective and character perspective,thus showing humanistic care.At the same time,in order to highlight the spatial characteristics of the text,Liu Xinwu reformed the time in the text to some extent,which can be summarized as fusion time and dilution time.Secondly,Liu Xinwu used to use stereotyped space images,such as Beijing old city,new city and transportation,to metaphorize his own creation demands.Finally,the spatial narration in Liu Xinwu’s novels embodies profound literary value and inner meaning.Liu Xinwu insisted on writing"human" as the center of creation,is the practice of "literature is human";As the practitioner of "Beijing flavor" culture in contemporary literary circles,he innovated on the basis of predecessors,thus endowing" Beijing flavor" with new vitality.At the same time,Liu Xinwu insisted on observing the changes of The Times in a "rational" spirit and integrating it into the text,thus completing his adherence to the writing commandment.
