An Analysis Of The Image Of "Wanderer" In Schubert’s Artistic Songs

In the history of European art and literature,a large number of works have emerged with the image of "Wanderer" as the starting point,while Schubert’s "Wanderer" series of works is a glorious one in the long river.Both in Schubert’s overall creation and in the development of 19 th century art songs have important significance.This article will start from Schubert’s era and personal life state,explore the clues and threads of the series of works of vagrants and the cultural representations conveyed by the image of "vagrants",so as to deepen our understanding and reflection on Schubert’s spiritual world in specific social and cultural contexts.The full text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is an overview of Schubert’s Wanderers series.Firstly,starting from the background of the times and personal circumstances,I enter Schubert’s vagrant life,and explore the tragic connotation of the vagrant image through the political and cultural factors of the 19 th century and the composer’s own experience.The second chapter is about the construction of the image of "vagrant" in poetry,focusing on revealing the close relationship between the thematic materials of five artistic songs from 1815 to 1826 and the text of the poetry,thereby analyzing the subtle connection between the tone and melody of the poetry.The third chapter is about the construction of the image of "vagrants" in music,focusing on exploring the penetration and many connections of thematic materials,characteristic intervals,and mode and tonality in the series of works of vagrants at various stages,which together constitute a interwoven network of tragic images.The fourth chapter is a deductive analysis of Schubert’s series of works on vagrants,which includes the differences in the portrayal of vagrants,the emotional expression in the fusion of poetry and music,and the emotional transformation under the tragic color.
