Louis Moreau Gottschalk(1829-1869)was the first famous pianist and composer on the international stage in the history of American music.His performance is often full of national fantasy and very national characteristics,and was even predicted by Chopin to be the future "king of the piano".He is also the first composer to combine the local Creole folk music elements with European classical music,and wrote a place of American keyboard music under the rich and colorful folk music.The first chapter of this paper through the overview of Gottschalk art life and the composition of creole music,establish the connection between composer and music style,and in the second chapter through Gottschalk creole quartet,combined with the characteristics of the work to discuss Gottschalk piano works for the interpretation of creole music style.The third chapter is the core content of this article.It selects the first masterpiece of the Creole Quartet《Bamboula》 for detailed analysis,studies the multi-ethnic melody,rhythmic form,harmonic change and sound from the chord in the work,and refines the characteristics of Creole music style in the work.At the same time,thinking about the music style grasp and interpretation,and put forward the corresponding performance suggestions.It is hoped to form a basic concept of Creole’s music style,deepen the understanding of music,improve the players’ interpretation skills of American folk music style,and provide research ideas for playing other niche music style. |
